Going to be a good fight but would need a very good undercard to justify PPV. Not sure frank has the roster
If Frank puts Yarde and Williams on in good fights and maybe a few of his interesting prospects like Dennis McCann and Denzil Bentley then I don’t think there would be anything to complaint about personally.
Wilder v Fury, Usyk v Pudding Chisora and Dubois v Joyce - already shaping up to be a better year than 2019.
Dubois looks the real deal but I’d be wary about ruling Joyce out here. He’s a problem for anyone as long as his chin holds up. Let’s not forget that Dubois hasn’t really been chin checked either. It’s an intriguing one.
I wouldnt go that far yet. We had 4 very entertaining fights iin AJ vs Ruiz 1 & 2 ( of which Povetkin vs Hunter was chief support and a good fight) and Whyte vs Rivas. Also had Wilder vs Ortiz. Plus Tyson Fury was involved in the first entertaining fight of his career against Wallin. Need to see how entertaining your 3 mentioned fights are and hopefully we get to see AJ vs Pulev, Whyte vs Povetkin, Hrgovic vs Bakole and hopefully Hearn finds Hunter a top opponent.
The talking will definitely be done in the ring! I’m pleased we are not going to get any of this Fake Beef hyped up BS we get from certain promoters!
Not complaining about it but... That’s a big if with frank. Would need a good name to sell a PPV for both of those guys. When you consider loma had to have a strong undercard to support a PPV. would need a Badou Jack type vs Yarde and Eubank Jr vs Williams for frank not to lose big money in this. Failing that I have a feeling he may stick the Josh Taylor fight on the card based on Arums recent comments
Depends on what deals have been cut with the fighters. Frank might have managed to get BT to pay up a decent fee and then used it to offer both fighters a minimum guarantee and then percentages on top based on the success of the event. If he has been forced to offer them cash deals though and it’s as much as I suspect then he could take a hit I guess. Good luck to him either way as I really like the fight, so hope it works out well.
Hopefully Joshua faces a live opponent at last getting in with the winner of Wilder v Fury or Dubois v Joyce or Usyk or Bakole. If not any of the dangerous 6 then at least Dullian Shyte. Puddings Pulev, Parker, Chisora, Bryan, Spud Ruiz 3 and Fanny Charr types simply building a legacy of pudding bashing and conning the public. Now Eh Day Earn has made USA his priority, hopefully Sly Sports continue to open up their boxing to other promoters who make the British viewers the priority.
Unfortunately yes and hopefully Sly Sports insist on quality cards in the UK for the convenience of UK TV Viewers. Cannot see him getting away with the garbage produced in 2019.
