You are presenting personal opinions as facts. I personally rate Smith as the biggest single puncher at 175. How that offends you, or contradicts the "stories" you have heard I do not know. Beterbiev is awesome, very powerful, and looking like the clear #1 in the division.
I still think the nail beats bivol late stoppage going for beterbiev via mid rounds stoppage against bivol
I'm still in the minority camp that sees Beterbiev getting schooled in this one. However, if you lined up placards of the whole light heavyweight division and said "topple all the ones ___ definitely beats" there would be a lot more guys horizontal in Beterbiev's pile (mostly via getting KTFO) than in Bivol's (mostly via methodical decision).
When a boxer like Artur has skills to throw all types of heavy punches and pressures you continuously - you don't lower your guard and always thinking about his heavy punches - thats why we don't see one-punch KOs from guys like him or GGG. Guys like Joe Smith, Adonis Stevenson - seems to have heavier single punches because they don;t have that variety of punches that Artur has.
I'm definitely leaning towards Beterviev but do not fault anyone that that is in the Bivol camp. Bivol is a great technician and one of my favorite current fighters to watch. It would not surprise me one bit of he was able to out point Beterbiev over 12. Both are tremendous fighters with very different strengths.
I would agree with this. Joe Smith kind of reminds me of a typical banger in the vein of Iran Barkley. He is no doubt a very heavy handed guy but Arthur is a true finisher. Once he hurts you, it's over.
I'm going with Beterbiev on this one. Bivol can box and I think he'll be having some success, but man Beterbiev will wear him down and TKO, similar to the Nail
This could be another Usyk-Gassiev type fight, where the boxer controls the ring ( or the geography as Teddy Atlas likes to say) and totally dominates the big puncher. Or not.
I agree with this. The Biev is much more versatile. Are we really going to get this fight? I would be head over heels. These are the types of fights in boxing everyone wants, and rarely get.
Hmmm, great fight. Contrast in styles, older vs younger. I hope it happens this year. Bivol is a great technical boxer. Very disciplined and smart. AB is a monster but this is boxing and in this case, anything is possible. I think Bivol would take the fight if it was offered. This one has a better chance of happening than Crawford fighting Spence or Mikey agreeing to fight Loma. Two prime guys at the top of their respective games. I am more excited about this potential fight than many of the big names thrown around.
The same thing was told before Beterbiev-Gvozdyk fight, cuz Gvozdyk was considered as a guy at LHW with the best boxing skills. Artur outboxed him. Artur delivered TWO TIMES more jabs (see compubox stats) to a guy who is taller and has greater rich. Artur is a guy with the highest KO rate in amateurs and pros.
