Yeah, its boring now with him, I don't think he has the mentality to do any better than he has done, physically he has everything, Chin, good movement, fast hands can punch in combo, respectable power, just not the alpha mentality required to conquer those he should be able to beat

I think people are forgetting that Parker has only just turned 28.

Hes in a position of not having to force everything all at once like some of the 30+ guys in the division.

Your all under the assumption Parker wants to box for years
He has set himself up for life and may plan on just topping up that fund

Do you think at 30 plus the motivation will be there?

Especially as he has said that he wants out of the game by 31-32 multiple times.

So legacy wise he has no excuse for the recent batch of fights
Even the Chisora fight is only good for a pay day
On paper its a fight againt a guy with 9 loses

Wasn´t the Chisora fight a done deal at one point?
This seems more like bad luck.

Leapai was picked as a tuneup and someone who was supposed to make Parker look good. That didn´t really go according to plan.
And then the Chisora fight fell though because Parker got bit by a spider.
And now they are basically taking a stay busy fight because it´s better than doing **** all.
    Joshua is fighting Pulev.
WIlder and Fury are doing their thing.
Whyte already fought Parker(and has said he has no intentions of doing a rematch)
Ruiz is AFK and Whyte wants him next.
Chisora is facing Usyk, it would seem.
    Povetkin is likely facing Whyte.
That only leaves Michael Hunter. So not much anyone could have done at this point.

Still widely considered to be among the top heavyweights. You are just looking at paper value.
In reality, Chisora has the deepest resume at heavyweight. It´s just the fact that he is the best, so he has lost to a lot of those guys.

Winters has been pretty hot lately to be fair. Coming off back to back upsets against prospects(arguably 3). This fight does have some appeal thinking about it more. An unlikely HW fringe contender getting his shot at glory while the former champ looks to continue licking their wounds and if anything is just looking to keep busy here. Guys like Winter are dangerous because they thrive on being the underdog and being counted out.
Could be a mistake for Parker and his camp to do that here. Winters is more than a routine journeyman opponent. Despite being 39 he's coming into his own and has momentum, confidence and nothing to lose. Parker better be careful here.

    Until he actually retires

I support Parker and believe he has a great chance to come again

I'm pretty sure Hearn signed Parker to stifle his career and keep him from a rematch with Joshua or Whyte. The possibility of fighting Chisora was another pointless fight for Parker who I don't think has any ambition. He said before he would retire at 30, he is just coasting towards that happy in the money he got for the Joshua fight. Him and Ruiz have the same mentality. The way he refers to himself as "we" and the team disturbs me, when he steps in the ring he has to take the responsibility solely.
