Screw Frank Warren for this fight. Someone of Ramirez's caliber could get seriously hurt fighting a world class fighter liker Yarde.

Don't insult world class fighters by mentioning Yarde among them. But yes Warren sucks and this is terrible matchmaking.

Kovalev knocked Yarde back into leisure centre status

Nah. He's a manufactured fighters who's tricked some people by smashing tomato cans like the one he fought last night. He's a domestic-euro level fighter at best.

I don't think the word "legit" should be used in a thread about a LHW contender fighting a MW with 4-50 record.

Wow i am shocked that this was even allowed, look at the guys record. And yarde goes from fighting kovalev in russia to fighting in the back of a spanish bar, wow.

Its clearly so he can fight for a potentially vacant belt
WBO states you cant chalkenge on a loss so this takes care ofthat
Not a good look at all but i see why its been done

Taking a fight against a lower level opponent to shake off the cobwebs and get back in the win column is understandable. However, a huge LHW doing so against a 4-48-3 MW with a KO5%??

23 of Ramirez's losses have come against fighters with 2 or less fights, over half of whom were making their pro debuts.

In 2016-2018 he went on this Harry Greb/Ray Robinson-esque run

Meh, not really fussed by it. Chisora did it before Kabayel and Liam Smith also did it after facing Canelo. Nothing to see here.
