True. Canelo has a terrible career. Past it and shot guys and numerous robberies and steroid scandals.

 

Big GGG fan, but I had Derevyanchenko by a couple points and Jacobs just edging the fight. That said, they're officially wins of his, so:

1. Jacobs
2. Derevyanchenko
3. Lemieux
4. Murray
5. Brook

It's a thin resume. An official win in the first Canelo fight would've done wonders (I had GGG taking it), but it looks like he will never get the signature elite win to put the cherry on top of his career.

Damn struggled hard with this one I swear GGG and Crawford have the weakest resume I have seen in years for guys who've technically unified titles and are considered P4P.

Maybe the Proksa win doesn't belong on here, but I included it for nostalgic reasons. It was the moment where a lot of people like me, who were skeptical of the hype, sat up and had to acknowledge that a historical force had emerged at 160lbs.

 

He has your hero on his record and he beat him at his own game too. There were absolutely zero signs of his "Mike Tyson-like" power in the entire 24 rounds they shared the ring together.

I dont't like that "i mean official wins" which excludes his 2 biggest wins.So, my top 5 is:

1.Canelo(The 1st fight where 35 y.o. Golovkin give him only 3 rounds)
2.Canelo(The 2nd fight, also in Canelo's backyard, where juiced to the max aggressive but unefective Canelo take only 4, max 5 rounds)
3.Daniel Jacobs
4.Kell Brook
5.Daniel Geale

 

I wanted GGG to beat canelo in the rematch but the reality is he didn’t, officially and in reality.

Have some objectivity.

GGG, in my opinion, was extremely lucky to get the decision against dev so it swings both ways.

 

His top 2 wins are definitely the Canelo fights

 

I think Geale is being sold short here, because of the loss to Cotto where he was badly drained and approaching retirement. And It's not like he won his titles against journeymen, he beat Sturm, Mundine and Barker and probably should've gotten the nod against Sylvester too, all legit top10 MWs during the Maravilla era.

H2H he'd be below Jacobs and Deravy, but based on resume, he can be ranked ahead. And he should definetly be ahead of Brook, whose sole accomplishment at MW is having 1 good round against GGG.
