Then you look at his record and realize that a blown up Welterweight(Kell Brook) is his biggest win while his first loss came against a Light Middleweight and wonder what the f is going on.

The way people put GGG's resume down clearly don't understand how boxing match ups work.

You don't get the fight cause you are "good", you get the big fights cause you draw in the cash.
GGG was considered to dangerous in his prime for the "top dogs" to risk for a small payout. Promoters are handlers, and they will do there upmost to get the max return from each investment. Basic financial management -
    Maximise return on capital employed.

Right, that's the storyline we were fed.

Reality is that he turned down fights with the following fighters:

    -Andre Ward
    -BJ Saunders
    -Jermall Charlo
    -Daniel Jacobs rematch
-Sergey Derevyanchenko (fought him after he lost to Jacobs and looked very beatable against Jack Culcay.)

Fighters who called him out and GGG flat out ignored:

    -Gilberto Ramirez
    -Badou Jack
    -Erislandy Lara
    -Demetrius Andrade
    -Austin Trout

    Fighters who GGG called out:

    -Bum Chavez Jr
    -Welterweight Mayweather
    -Retired Carl Froch

Excuses why Golovkin did not fight certain fighters:

-Legacy come first, money second (prove to be total B.S.)
-Wants to unify all the titles (Also proved to be B.S.)

You don't seem to understand how Boxing match-ups work. Fighters that aren't getting the big fights eventually have to force them and in many cases they would even accept a far lesser chunk of the deal to secure them. Golovkin had zero interests in taking any serious risks whatsoever and preferred devouring hopeless bums his entire career. That's why he is at the current sad irrelevant state he's in at the moment. He got the Alvarez fight 100% purely based on social media hype and nothing else.

This era is far different than previous eras. Nowadays you can promote a fighter without having to take any risks till you eventually score the big money fight you want. All of this happens thanks to social media and Golovkin's career is the proof. However, the downside to this is that you become irrelevant too quickly because you end up leaving zero marks worth remembering in the sport. In the previous era where social media wasn't a thing, Golovkin would have been in the same room as Felix Sturm.

You mean the guy Canelo gave up his belt not to fight and Delahoya took the blame for him?

You GGGoons are a dishonest lot. It's embarrassing.

First, YES Canelo vacated the WBC title, BUT you have to also take into account some other things that happened leading up to him vacating and immediately after vacating.
    • Canelo had never fought above 155
    • Golovkin claimed for years that he would fight anyone between 154-168
    • Canelo challenged Golovkin to a fight at 155
    • Canelo made it very clear on more than one occasion his challenge to Golovkin was for NO titles meaning a Non-title fight.
    • The WBC was imposing a short deadline to have the fight signed and negotiated which did not benfit Canelo's team.
If you want to have an honest discussion about boxing and this specific situation you have to use the facts surrounding this.

Now here's where you GGGoons fail big time. While you criticize Canelo for vacating his WBC title (That he won at 155, who had never fought above 155, who either way challenged GGG to a Non-title fight).....

.....YOU GGGoons give Golovkin a huge pass for choosing to get stripped on his IBF title, for refusing to fight Derevyanchenko, and even refusing to commit to a date to fight him......

.....And before you sau, "well he eventually fought him", well so di Canelo eventually fight GGG... Main difference was that GGG was still undefeated, still looking as good as ever, while by the time GGG decied he would fight Drevyanchenko, Derevyanchenko already had ONE LOSS, and looked vulnerable against Jack Culcay.

So every time you GGGoon Stans say that Canelo vacated, just remember that Golovkin also decided to get stripped instead of defending his title, and if you don't remember then some one will remind you.

First off,i was talking about Canelo giving up his belt so he didn't have to fight Derevyanchenko, not the other time Canelo gave up his belt. The time he had Oscar make an official announcement that he will fight GGG in 16 months. As for Golovkin not fighting Derevyanchenko the first time, why should Golovkin have to fight Derevyanchenko because Canelo got busted using PEDS? Canelo still won't fight Derevyanchenko even now thats why he gave up his belt again. Golovkin was already 37 years old, that wouldn't be fair, the old guy fights a beast and the cheater gets a rest.

The recent Poll on this Brilliant Forum say's it all...an unbias Vote from some very smart Boxing brains believe a Prime Golovkin Destroys a Prime Canelo by around %90 that's enough evidence for Me....anyone who argues against this must have an agenda....Polls generally don't Lie.....so this Post really becomes invalid because Golovkins best Win was against Canelo Fight 1....He destroyed Him big time and Las Vegas and Adelaide Byrd came to the rescue....not my belief only %90 of People on here agree with Me.!!!

Are you 35 years old or not? You dont need to educate me.i remember all of it,the sore shoulder, the heart trouble, how Holyfield had him down before Bowe caught him with the perfect shot.Later Holyfield saw Evangelist Benny Hinn and got healed before his great victory over Tyson. This is all from memory not youtube.
