Why Adrien Broner employed the same Mayweather strategy but was not awarded with a win? He did almost the same like one punch, hug and ran for 12 rounds. What went wrong?

Id imagine it has something to do with Broner landing almost half the amount of power punches on Pac than Mayweather did while simultaneously getting hit more than Floyd did.

The difference in that being rooted in a disparity of skill, instinct and IQ between May and Broner.

    Imo.

BRONER wanted to be like Mayweather but would have been better served to be more like Manny.

When you copy, you are just copying. You don't understand the thought process and intelligence behind it.

    Broner was just a mimic.

If you can't see the difference in skill between Floyd and Broner, boxing might not be for you.

I've been saying it for years. If you're not mayweather, and you try to box like mayweather, the judges will NOT score the round for you. If you sit on the ropes getting blasted and only come back with pitter pat shots and counter right hands that do no damage, like mayweather does, the judges will score the round for your opponent. Mayweather fights are judged differently for a reason.

How many fights did he lay on the ropes and get blasted in?

The only fight that really was debatable was the first Castillo fight. His maidana fight was close but hardly a robbery

Lol translation of the OP: "im still salty about mayweather beating pacquiao but I'm gonna pretend like I want to talk about the broner fight".

When AB fought Maidana I took heat for saying he would lose because his mimic of Floyd misses a lot of subtle things. One that elbow FLoyd uses is hard-maybe border line illegal. AB tried to use it about 2 mn into that clip...but it was center ring...he wonders why they boo'd?
two-He comes in shape prepared to go 15 rounds in a 12 round fight whereas Broner lays on those ropes to recoup IMO. That was when I thought Marcos would do damage to AB.

Nothing wrong with taking something from other fighters, but adapt it to one's own style.
With Pac he doesn't need one to run to lay on the ropes to do damage he can get U anywhere anytime.

last- Floyd constantly feints his foe's feints. People say don't pull back, but Floyd will jerk his head back so far & quick that it seems to nullify his foe's desire to complete the shot. So they are forced to reset.

Broner doesn't anticipate shots by jerking or over-anticipating -pulling str8 back like Floyd. Then add on ring IQ-knowing how to apply/when to apply that roll of the shoulder. Sometimes in the clinch Floyd will even do a Ali & pull his opponent's neck/head down- another move that could/should be called on- which forces a fighter to reset yet again. AB treid it with Pac but if one doesn't throw before or after....
Floyd is a tactical ring genius with a level of discipline few have measured up to.
Broner definitely is the poor man's PBF.

The only reason why broner did not win is because he was not a vegas diva. He did not have a strong connection with the NSAC and vegas businessman. Wake up

Broner is a broke version of Void. His Shoulder scroll is not as good as Voids shoulder roll.

Reading this reminded me of Berto-Guerrero. Berto also tried to employ Mayweather´s style and he clearly had no idea wtf he was actually doing.
It was funny how quickly Guerrero figured him out.
