Cheers. Not exactly Warrington/Shakur, Yarde/Kovalev is it?

Like decent, but not back to back title fights

Bit of craic here. Jones is obviously a mouthpiece chancing his arm in the game but boxing needs mouthpieces. Joyce and Dubois doing okay for guys who can appear uncomfortable in front of the cameras. Dubois in particular getting much more comfortable. I used to worry for Dubois when the big PPV press conferences would come but he'll be fine.

Dan clearly regretted the comment the second it left his mouth, looked embarrassed for himself. Clear as day Frank has had a long sit down with both guys behind closed doors and explained the need to add 'a bit of needle' to the buildup, they've got a PPV to sell after all, just being a very good fringe world level scrap between two Brit prospects isn't enough.
And so we get the twat beside Joe at the press conference hamming it up, Joe's blind mother being in the front row, the out of character comment from DD and that scripted shove during the face off.
I expect more awkward, forced behaviour from both guys in the coming weeks/months.

Spot on with joyce being carefully chosen. Joyce is tricky for the wrong style....pretty much guys hes been fighting....but dubois looks hard work for joyce,s style. Joyce has looked vulnerable defensively to a heavy puncher for a while. Its just that hes not fought anyone with one. Its usually older guys, smaller guys or guys with no stamina...all the things that will struggle against joyce,s style.

I dont think franks into making risky fights much...but he is slightly desperate atm. So who knows. I still dont think dubois is the real deal....franks just using his experience in matchmaking to make him look slightly better than he is. Hes gonna be a good fighter....just cant see him being a great one. Joyce is a risk....but realistically how much of a risk...joyce doesnt have power....so far hes outworked guys till he drowns them with sheer volume. Most of the time abandoning his defence. A decent puncher looks like it,ll be his kryptonite. Especially one that shouldn,t tire with being a lot younger and fresher. Franks picked a specific style that looks very vulnerable to dubois. Be an interesting fight tho

I dont think frank has the stable for ppv nowadays. Dubois looks his best hope...who,s best win is against gorman who doesnt really have any decent wins himself. Dont think dubois done all that much in the amateurs i could be wrong tho....but dont think he was anywhere near joyce,s level. Just getting marketed very well matchmade very well and improving on the job.

Again tho frank is pretty desperate....he doesnt really have the stable to put dubois in a good fight without it being ppv. What if he loses? A lot of franks hopes are on dubois. At least if he loses they,ve made something off him with the ppv as opposed to probably losing money.

In honesty its never ppv tho. Joyce looks club level at times. Dubois hasn,t beaten anyone of note. And frank doesnt have the stable to put on a tremendous undercard....at least for the casuals who tend to buy them more. I think it,ll do okay tho in terms of sales if its marketed right. Hardly joshua level but frank will make money on the show af least.

Hope the undercard is good it’s my birthday on the tenth so I’m taking the Mrs to London for the weekend and catch the fight at the 02.

wouldn’t mind Zelfa Barrett v Archie Sharp as a support act that would be a cracking fight !

Gorman back on the card. Wonder if they could get Dave Allen in against him? Gorman will win easily without damaging Allen

Has Eddie emailed the EBU to ask how an English fight is now for their belt?
