Joshuas style is best suited with activity, Hearns inability to close a deal has repeatedly cost him time again and again, Now there is a 6 month period since his last fight.. Its a loss for the fans and a loss for Joshua...
It is a mandatory defence so no issues with this. It isnt as if the Wilder or Tyson Fury fight is going to happen this year anyway.
Will be easiest fight for Joshua in a while. Pulev is technically sound but poses little threat to Joshua given his lack of power. Basically Pulev is out matched in all areas. Joshua will hopefully not play it ultra safe and we should see mid round ko.
With the good mediaments on his side, Joshua can't lose that fight.I was hoping it will be on neutral teritory, so Pulev can have at least more chances to show something good.
And what exactly the venue has to do with Pulev performance? Why should Joshua allow a mandatory or whatever the f**** anyone to tell him where the fight need to be. Its 100% normal for Joshua team to want the fight be in UK, especially after his last 2 fights was outside of UK. Joshua KO inside 3 rounds. But the fight is not officially yet.
Not sure if it's official, but it is according to any logic that Joshua-Pulev is next. Pulev is a weaker version of Klitschko if you ask me and he's old and shot. He has experience and decent technique, but as said above, he's outclassed by joshua in every category. I expect Pulev to try to pressure Joshua, but AJ will land 1 good shot, wobble Pulev and finish the job. KO within 5. Not a great fight but it's about time for Pulev to step back.
Its either this fight or strip, so no one can said a word for this fight. And Pulev earn his spot, unlike 99,99% of Wilder opponents.
By beating Chisora and then Hughie Fury. Dillian Whyte was one of his opponents, but when Pulev team won the purse bid and all was ready for the fight, Whyte decided to walk off this fight. So Hughie i think was opponent for that mandatory spot. And still Pulev is better than 99,99% of Wilder opponent. So yes Pulev earn his spot.
He beat Chisora in 2016. It's now 2020. Chisora was #9 or 10 around then I think making him the only ranked fighter (not WTF rankings) that Pulev has defeated. Four years ago. Joseph Parker victim Hughie Fury is indeed the best fighter he has beaten since. In 2018. Last year he beat someone called Bogdan Dinu and James Toney victim, 38 year old Rydell Booker. The notion that Pulev wasn't overhauled as an outstanding challenger in that timeframe is absolutely ridiculous to me. I agree most of Wilder's title opponents didn't earn their spots, but Pulev is only slightly more qualified. Still ranked #9 though, so not a total disaster.
