If this is a serious question and you cant tell greatness from a bum, then stop typing, get up andgo out side and never watch boxing again. You need to get real man. Its pathetic.
Of course Tyson struggled against Mathis. It was his second fight in 4 1/2 years and he hadn't even been sparring in prison. What else could one expect. With a year of proper training under his belt and three fights in he looked superb against Bruno. The Moorer fight was 2 1/2 years prior to his match with Tyson. He came back with a good win over Mercer and then was stopped by Bowe before beating Czyz. It was a strange time for Holyfield that's for sure. Something was up periodically but there certainly wasn't anything wrong by the time he fought Tyson. Tyson wasn't the fighter he had been but he was a heckuva lot better than some want to admit let it be said.
Frank was a good fighter with an excellent jab and real power .He needed space to get his jab and powerful cross and hooks working Mike was on him to quickly to allow this to happen .A similar thing happened to the truth Williams .good boxers who could not cope with Tysons speed and aggressive assault. No disgrace in that.
Tyson got him out of there and the world took notice. The vast majority of reports had him the best in the world again - comfortably. Take a look at the odds against Holyfield.
Bruno was as stiff as a board and moved even slower. I feel that maybe he would have been better if he started off in the states with a better trainer.
Bruno has become underrated due to how easily Tyson beat him twice. Because Bruno had really good fundamentals for such a big guy, despite being a bit stiff, and had top notch power. He ended every other fight he had ahead on the cards, but didn't win a round against Tyson. That's how good Tyson was. What Bruno lacked was chin, stamina and speed. The first two lost him the fights to Smith and Witherspoon, and the lack of speed made him unable to cope with Tyson.
His boxing skills were enough to outbox Smith, take a lead on the cards against Witherspoon and Lewis, and outpoint McCall.
