Frankie Warren Hall of Fame Promoter involved in the biggest fight of 2020 next week and sticking on Dubois v Joyce - the man of the people strikes again
Think he talks shite a lot but terry in his highfield boxing pod made warren look like he was doing the right thing looking at his younger fighters coming through etc
Only if you can tell me from a "Reliable" source who shot Kennedy... Seeing as you have every answer to anything or anybody that exerts anything that is remotely of a different opinion of yours...
They weren't a couple of nobodies at all.In terms of boxing yes, but this was never aimed at serious boxing fans.
Well according to stats it was the 5th most viewed live event on DAZN. Which considering their low subscription base hasn't had the impact they expected.
All it really takes is to just have successful fighters. If Dubois becomes heavyweight champion people and gets the big paydays Frank will be lauded as a genius. Frank unlike Eddie gets on with all the other promoters and is cosy with certain governing bodies, he just needs to improve his matchmaking and hope the Olympic and GB leftovers he gets after Matchroom take their pick do well.
And similar to BT not releasing numbers, you cant just go on quotes that give the grand sum of nothing away Im sure DAZN does better than BT but who knows
It's not just successful fighters though. It's establishing a media presence, being seen as capable of attracting a younger audience, all the stuff that makes up proper promotion. Some people hate the whole Hearn Sweet Caroline thing, but it's clearly working in the sense of getting people buying tickets. Frank is just too old school - talking about proper trade fights and the like. Rumours of Frank not paying fighters have emerged again which means he's feeding on scraps. Why would anyone go to Frank if Matchroom were interested? Boxers aren't going to be blind to what's happened in the last decade, and what's happened is a significant shift in terms of fighters leaving Frank Warren. That alone is absolutely undeniable.
Shy of a million from somebody 'close' to the company so that figure could be lower. Point is that YouTube fight was meant to massivly boost subscribers and it doesn't seem to have played out like that unfortunately for them
No mate because me and @channy negotiated a lifetime PPV deal where the perks vary from fight to fight. When Dullian Whyte fights, Eh Day gives me 12 beers and a free pudding on fight night.
