Ruiz has far quicker hands than Whyte and is a faster counter puncher.

What came to my mind is that the winner of Ruiz-Ortiz could hope to get another title shot next. If Ortiz beats Ruiz by KO, which Joshua failed to do so, it would be a good build up for Joshua-Ortiz in the US if Ortiz is lucky to get that.

If Ruiz beats Ortiz, he could go for Wilder next. And I am sure Wilder would prefer fighting Ruiz over Whyte. Whoelse will Wilder fight after Fury? The Joshua fight ain't happening yet. Possibly a rematch with Fury.

Whyte will have a good name on his resume with Povetkin and even more arguments to get a title shot finally. It's just Povetkins punch resistance that won't allow him to win. Remember how Hunter pushed Povetkin the first round? Remember how early Whyte caught Chisora in the second fight? If Povetkin doesnt find his rythm early, he'll fall quick. Otherwise it will be an interesting fight to watch with 70/30 in favor of Whyte. I just hope the fight lasts at least 6 rounds.

Ruiz has the power to knock out any heavyweight in the world, his jab is more powerful than any other heavies, his jabs to AJ`s body were great.

Whyte is too slow fisted to catch Wilder Ruiz is far better than Whyte and harder to hit.

I see you have been sucked into the PR hype and BS about Ortiz. Ortiz is a real life Egyptian mummy who cannot fight for more than 6 rounds. No one even knows what his real age is FFS.

"No one wanted to fight him" doesnt explain how when you take Jennings off his resume. His entire record is padded with fall over jobs, who only turned up to lay down. When he faced Wilder he jumped levels and levels to face him.

He could easily have faced a number of decent HWs between top 15 and top 40 prior to facing Wilder. He only faced Jennings in that bracket. Lots of guys in that bracket would have fought him for the right money, stop fooling yourself.

    On Chisora
You surely arent going to use number of losses to rate a fighter? Had Ortiz faced Chisora it would have been either his 1st or 2nd toughest opponent other than Wilder. Let that sink in.

    On Parker
Thats a better win than anything Ortiz has ever done and will ever do at HW. Glad we agree on that.

    What are you on about?

Ortiz has not beaten anyone as good as Parker. Your elevating Ortiz over Whyte due to his skillset I assume. Yeah his technique is better but not his chin or gas tank. Those components are essential at the top level and Whyte is clearly better in both departments.

I dont think Ortiz beats Parker or Rivas and I have him 50/50 against Chisora in a battle of the grandads.

Absolutely, Wilder is real danger for Whyte, which is why I don't really understand Wilder avoiding Whyte. But at the same time, Wilder is very bad in defence and has a slim body. If Whyte beats Wilder with body punches that would be humiliating. I can see Whyte cornering Wilder and let the frustration out on his body. But I can also see Wilder landing the right hand and Whyte won't get up. Let's just make the fight happen! No more Breazeales and Stivernes...

I watched the first fight with Joshua the other day. And the bodybuilder did look out of sorts in the early 2 rounds. It was his low guard, his slow movement and reflexes that were apparent. I do believe the concussion stories were a factor. Ruiz being fast was another factor, but he didn't need to trim down to 240 to beat him in my opinion.

Whyte does have a good right hook to the body despite being an orthodox fighter, M.Tyson threw that punch only much quicker, it`s a good shot to throw.

It's a lot easier to win a fight when a headbutt is called a knockdown and behaving like a withering octopus for the last couple minutes of the fight is allowed by the ref.
