No details on the weight, etc BJS fought twice in 2019 so rust shouldn’t be an issue I really hope and pray that Canelo puts a severe beating on this loud mouthed gypsy Team Canelo all day
I just don't see how BJS can win this fight. He doesn't have the power to hurt Canelo and his best punch is the jab. Canelo is an expert at neutralizing the power of the jab and has already faced a different array of world class jab's throughout his boxing career. Not to mention that the judges already favor Canelo the money fighter in the first place, I just don't see any way possible Saunders can pull off a win. Easy money on Canelo.
I wonder how many hoops they got ol' Billy Boy jumping through? No food during fight week? No AC/Heat where he trains? Must sleep upright Conehead style for the duration of his camp?
Id have preferred the Plant fight... but this should be ok, will depend on what BJS has left I guess.
He's not even had 30 fights yet, he's only 30 years old, he doesn't have a lot of wear and tear, and his level of opposition hasn't been great... He should have tons left in the tank.
Doesn't always work that way. He's obviously having issues staying in top form and performing at elite level. Hes looked less than stellar lately. Thats not always fixed in one fight camp. Hopefully it is for him.
Liked this fight far more at 160 when BJS had the WBO, but I guess fighters aren't too bothered unifying these days. At 168 I'd much rather Callum got the fight. At least he's legit at the weight. Billy looks like a pudding, and has fought nothing but "tune-ups" since Lemieux (and looked unconvincing at that) I presume DAZN will remain content so long as Canelo continues to deliver subs but they've surely got to be feeling a bit miffed over the direction GBP have taken with his selection of opponents. It is utterly farcical that DAZN can't get the GGG trilogy made considering the daft money they are paying both. Apparently the plan now is for Canelo to fight BJS, followed by Murata (squash match), and that's a wrap for 2020. So it's a write off basically. Meanwhile Golovkin fights some mandatory whose name I can't pronounce because he can't get the Canelo fight and doesn't care to risk himself against the likes of Andrade (who'll be left to fight one tomato can after another as a result). Boxing sucks.
yup. Big reason why I've lost interest in the sport. I still watch the big fights but dont stay in for as many fights as I used to. I'll def be watching Fury Wilder rematch
