A really simple way of determining whom is #1, #2 and #3 would be something like this. Not 100% foolproof but it at least settles debate about the quality of opposition faced. Based over the last 10 fights of each of the 3 (as before that, I doubt many, if any of their opponents, were ranked), if Rank #50 was beaten, then 1 point is scored likewise if the #1 Rank is beaten, then you score 50 points. I'm sure someone with more time and access to the relevant information could post up a table listing each fight and individual points won followed by 3 Grand Totals. Obviously, a loss means by the same scoring, you lose those particular points from your total whereas a draw earns half of the points. Or they could just face off in the ring and decide it the good old fashioned way...
The football commentators in all matches this week all over the biggest undefeated World Heavyweight contest since the Lewis era. Cracking build up for a cracking fight mate - all making Matchroom FC fans seething with rage is another bonus
This content is protected I assume the comments about the camp not being that smoove arent from Hearn? He has heard this from someone else?
Anyone watch the ITV documentary tonight? Fascinating viewing and a real insight into why the split with Ben occured. Five weeks out from the fight Shane and John weren't happy at all about Ben's plans for Tyson to keep dropping weight. They know Tyson's best weight and say he's on weight and shouldn't lose any more. Ben is adamant Tyson needs to keep dropping weight for speed. Days out from the fight and Tyson drops below the low target weight and looks bewildered about it himself. He looks worried and Ben doesn't know what to say. We know what happened in the fight. John and Shane were very unhappy throughout the whole build up with the "circus" around Tyson. They obviously demanded drastic change. Tyson also paid a restaurant in Marbella €200 for two lobsters and set them free in the sea. Tony Hayers currently making enquiries about the price of the lobsters in said restaurant as he doesn't believe they cost the gypsy king €200.
I enjoyed the lobster bit. Reminded me of a comic I know who was so stoned in Amsterdam, that him and a mate bought a bag of ice cubes and released them back into the wild in one of the canals. I thought Fury’s backside fell out of his pants when he realised his weight. He gives it the big un about never being nervous about a fight but he looked seriously worried before that Wallin fight...like me when I’m about to fly and I’ve forgot my diazepam.
Was interesting he said he hadn't even ran or anything the day before, so could have come in even lighter.
Fury and Wilder will weigh in at about 23:00 GMT on Friday, with thousands of fans set to attend at the MGM's Grand Garden Arena.
Heard exhibit T last seen floating in sea attempting to catch both lobsters before they hit the water. When that failed, Pepe the waiter was approached for proof of payment and the sight of four £50 notes was not viewed as adequate evidence. Now the subject matter has been seen loitering outside 49 Marine Drive, Hest Bank, Lancs for a couple of weeks waiting to tackle the man direct about all the lies and deception. The covert surveillance was going well until Big John Fury knocked on his car window and offered him a pillow fight - he followed through and had to hastily leave the area to clean arris and wash clothes.
Hundreds (myself included) turned away at the weigh in as I think their full to capacity. Strange considering there’s lots of tickets available for tomorrow! It must captivating the general public. Mike Tyson and Eubank sr knocking around too.
