No problems there, would be very boring if no-one disagreed. On the styles note; I doubt any one is as a bad a style as Tommy is for Mayweather(funnily enough I'd say Hearns is worse for Margo and Paul than Mayweather). Swarmers though, are particularly bad for Floyd at 147 imo due to Floyd's low output and tendancy to stay on the ropes, this would give Margo an opportunity to unload. As we all know, Floyd's a defensive wizard but it's only so long before those body shots start having an effect, or even the ones caught on the arms start slow him down. Williams is worse though imo as Floyd wouldn't be able to use his Michigan Stylist/Philly Shell guard how he normally does.

I have also seen arguments for Floyd on his A-game, which he brought when he needed it, simply doing what he always did to Margarito and not having much issues.

Either way you look at it, the circumstances do say favour Floyd. Although in the brief time frame it could've happened('06?), I doubt they had any chance of being made. So I'm not saying Floyd ducked Margo Williams in the sense that he was 'scared', moreso that he didn't actively chase those fights because (imo) they're bad match ups for him.
Right back at ya! Love the immediate self promot too.

It was God's fault that Floyd ducked Margarito? Come on Floyd who is going to buy that BS! You didn't want that work.

Perhaps those are the exceptions but it was still well noted how Floyd relied on his reach advantage typically and struggled greatly without it.

Too right, that's a range fighter's kryptonite right there.

C.J., I respect you as a poster and while like me you know your boxing I do believe your dislike and hatred of Floyd clouds your judgment on this issue. Tony Margarito is a flawed cheat in the most despicable way. I feel so offended by what he did I would prefer not to discuss him!

Who I'm to question his relationship with God? But it springs to mind that he may have simply just made the smart move and ducked what would have been a horrible matchup for him at the time. Guys like Mayweather will never admit the element of fear, but it was clearly there.

The style Castillo employed compared to Maidana was completely different. For someone who's apparently obsessed with boxing, it should be blatantly obvious.

There was a reason Maidana didn't try the same strategy in the second fight and it had nothing to do with the ref.

Each fighter can give May problems, but their styles (DLH, Chino, Marg's), punches and approach are completely different. As are their attributes.

If you think the latter used the same blueprint, or Marg's is capable of using the same blueprint Maidana used then you fall in one of these three categories.

    1 You're either blind
2 Have no idea what you're talking about
3 Or you're a sheep that just repeats what everyone else says.

How did he struggle against Oscar? He beat him clearly. Landed the harder cleaner shots and was the ring general. He also fought Oscar on his terms at a weight, his worst weight BTW. He dominated Pep who had longer reach. The whole reach thing is a haters excuse. Do people criticize other fighters by saying how many fighters did they beat who were bigger than them? What about who had more power than them? It's a ridiculous measure. PBF was a complete fighter the most complete of the era he had on real weakness or flaws that's why he was damn near impossible to beat not solely on his reach.

I'd agree that PBF was a complete fighter but that doesn't represent his whole career and the style he relied upon primarily.

He fought a more cautious style at 147 and higher especially when he was still prime at 147 when he still had his legs. I see him fighting Margo the same way he beat Baldo by using a ton of movement, like I said earlier if he fights like that against Margo there's nothing Margo can do to stop it and he would take a wide UD loss.
