Deontay Wilder will never be the real HW champion unless he fights and defeats Anthony Joshua

    Spot on.

Joshua, due to how many titles he holds at the moment, is the man for now.

Thankyou for the ignore, it is without doubt today's proudest achievement (not that I've done much today).

So, if Usyk decided tomorrow to go back to cruiserweight, because heavyweight isn't for him, who's the man at cruiser?

Would that be Makubu (who has the WBC belt) or Dorticos (who has an IBF belt) or Arsen Goulamirian (with a WBA strap)? Or is it a three-way tie? Would you put Usyk at #4 in the division, behind those guys, because Usyk currently has no belts? Would you put the WBA "regular" cruiserweight champ ahead of Usyk, too, since he has a belt? How about the WBA "interim" champ? Ahead of Usyk, too, because of the belt?

Get your head out of Anthony Joshua's butt. It's beyond stupid at this point. Andy Ruiz had three of the four belts TWO months ago. That's how much value you can place on those three belts.

THE MAN FOR NOW in the heavyweight division will be determined in the ring on Saturday night.

How do you suggest he actually gets AJ in the ring? AJ won't take this fight until at least the back half of 2021 when Wilder will be hitting 36.

A recognized world champ in a division can hold only one belt and still be the world champ. # of belts held was never a form of criteria for being the world champ.

I'm not even saying that, it's just that Wilder, Fury and Joshua can all lay claim to being number 1, for me it's that sketchy and should we have anything other than a dominating, conclusive and beyond all shadow of a doubt result tomorrow night, it still will be in dispute.

All this crap that so and so and such and such is definately number 1 is just complete and utter bollocks!

Couldnt be bothered to read the whole thread but some of the posts are laughable.

So some people think the winner shouldnt fight Joshua if they win ? WTF

it doesnt matter who you think is the best,
the winner should fight AJ.......if not.... who else should they fight

i actually prefer Wilder and Fury to AJ
i love how Wilder is so flawed but just knocks people the fk out
i love that Fury came through without the big promoter or tv deal and flipped the division on its head to beat Vlad in Germany..... threw it all away..
then came back to where he is now

AJ had everything laid out for him, gift decisions to olympic gold, easy world title against the joke Martin. BUT that is not his fault.....

Steve Kim said it well in todays IFL interview.... you can say Fury's best two results ( vlad and wilder) and wilders best two results (fury and ortiz) beat AJs best two results... but AJ has a far deeper resume.....and that deserves respect

and if it was any other division people wouldnt be saying one belt holder dont need to waste their time fighting the other person who unified 3 belts

    true
but Wilders best win is against a 40 year old Ortiz.....and Furys best win is against a past prime Vlad (albeit a younger version than the one who AJ beat)

Fury and Wilder fought each other a draw, and that made them the top guys in the divisuon ONLY because it meant they remained unbeaten

Personally, when in top shape ( because everyone can have off nights, bad camps, injuries etc ) i think Fury is the best of the 3 because despite his lack of power he has far too much savvy and movement for such a big guy against flawed boxers such as wilder and joshua.

However until they all fight each other none deserve to call themselves the best, yes fury and wilder fought each other... but joshua has 3 belts and that cant be disrespected

and i aint an AJ nuthugger

its a shame wilder aint british cause he would be a MEGA star in the UK

not quite.... thats the problem when boxing fans get into comparisons

Usyk would be moving back to a divison he previously dominated

the HW division is more muddled....AJ holds the most belts...has been beaten but avenged it so still holds 3 belts

wilder and fury fought each other so remain unbeaten.... but its interesting how that one fight suddenly made them the best in the division when before than wilders resume was a bit of a joke

saying that i still pick both to beat joshua, but joshua still deserves respect

It doesn't matter how many belts you hold or how deep your resume is and how many top 10 ranked opponents and world champions you've beaten, all that matters is if you can secure a victory over the shadow of the shell of a muscle atrophied reformed alcoholic/coke fiend suicidal gypsy and how many tomato cans you can bowl over.

It's the other way around IF Wilder beats Fury on Saturday. The lineal champion is Fury.

Parker was rated to highly but still better than all wilders opponents, fury beat Klitschko in his back yard but he didn’t hurt him and pulled out of the rematch and was found to have taken peds, for me the cocaine scandal was a compromise and a cover that the governing body was happy to go with as it saved them money they couldn’t afford to spend fighting him in court and still allowed him to be banned (in a retrospective bollocks kind of way).
Wilder hasn’t fought anyone of any real relevance until fury and that was on the back of his comeback from a good while on the sesh.
Joshua has been a good champion and fought relevent fighters at every stage of his career and then he’s been smashed to bits by Ruiz and came back, there’s arguments for all three, and that means question marks for all three... none can be the true champion until they have fought, and fury can never really clear his name, he cheated and took peds the wild boar bollocks is exactly that bollocks.
