The higher weight Wilder has come in during his career the slower he has been and less torque (power) he is able to generate on his punches. Slower, weaker, more tired Wilder. Hes going to have to open Fury's eye to have any chance. Dont know if its even possible, but Fury by wide UD in slower and more boring fight than the first one.

So you think 273lb is a fast weight for Fury? If anything it evens out, Wilder by KO.

    I agree with this.

I think Fury wins inside schedule.
I see it a bit different to many other posts I have read where people say the longer it goes the more it favours Wilder, but I actually disagree and think it tips more in Furys favour the longer it goes.
When Fury takes a big shot his punch resistance seems to suddenly get better. If Wilder catches him cold and early it may effect Fury but with Fury he seems to take shots better after taking a big shot. I know people will point to the previous fight and the 12th round but how many other times did Wilder catch Fury really clean before that? When Fury got up he took arguably the biggest shot of the fight completely flush and didnt even stagger. He then went on the attack.
Fury seems to have good stamina and with some of Wilders fights where he has been over 225lbs, his fights have gone into the later rounds like Molina, Duhaupas, Arreola, Szpilka. Fury is alot bigger and heavier than those fighters and with a bigger reach

I agree and am picking Fury, but...

Wilder is 34 years old, and contrary to popular belief, heavyweights are supposed to put on a little weight as they get older, and it INCREASES power. My source on this is Joe Louis, quoting advice from Jack Blackburn.

I agree that Wilder will be blowing gas after the 3rd or 4th, but he is going to be lethal until he does. Fury better be on his bicycle early.

fury was on the mat, TWICE against wilder. something that never happened to him before to him. maybe, just maybe, that just might be getting into his psyche? and fury is NOT power puncher. he will fight as he always has with a bit more cautiousness this time around.
fury by BORING U.D. or wilder by knock out.

Fury can box 12 rounds awkward as at any weight. Wilder is completely reliant on the speed of his explosive power. You need a Tommy Hearns style frame to generate that whippet/ bullet like power, i fail to see how a bulked Wilder makes a better Wilder. Needs to open that cut.

    Fair enough.
the first KD, didnt seem like it really caught Fury properly and I dont read much into that one.
Fury got put down early and heavily by Cunningham but it didnt effect his psyche at all. He went after Cunnigham to land his own shots and that is exactly what he did after the Wilder KDs. People forget that after the KDs, Fury finished both the rounds in control.
I think Fury will be rightly cautious at times but think the weight will be to his benefit as the fight goes on and think Wilders weight gain may tire him more than Furys weight gain

Let's see Furys mobility first, rumours about ankle injuries, and he is over 270lbs.

I'm more confident in Wilder coping with the extra weight than Fury.

I don't think Wilder's weight increase is going to change things much, he might hit harder but he's still got to land to make that power count. He needs to make adjustments this 2nd time around if he's to get Fury, who's the most elusive heavyweight right now. I think he needs to be less wild when he has Fury hurt. Last time Fury countered him both times and stopped Wilder's attack in its tracks, Wilder needs to forget the windmilling when he has his man hurt, this isn't Audley Harrison he's in with, Fury can make him pay for being sloppy, he needs to be measured and more precise to finish Fury off. If he can do that he may very well win.

Fury's increase in weight was a real surprise, you'd think he'd want to be faster and more elusive and have better stamina late not to get caught. I think he might very well speaking the truth for once when he says he's going for the KO. With 3 American judges he knows getting a decision isn't likely and wants to take it out of the judges hands. I'm thinking he'll box for most of the fight, but when in close this time he's going to be far more physical and dirty much like in the Cunningham and Wallin fights. He's going to lean than 270lbs on Wilder, use elbows, push his head into Wilder's throat, and rough him up when in close. He, knows Wilder can only generate power at a distance so as long as he doesn't get caught moving in and out of range he is safe on the inside and can take some risks. He'll try and wear Wilder down and force a stoppage.

If Wilder comes in at that weight, he is going for a 5th round knockout, because he will have too much power for Fury.
