CST, you gotta put things in perspective, there's historic significance and things that matter now.
Wilder's resume is THIN so legacy wise this win doesn't do much but in the current HW landscape it counts as a lot because Fury went on the road against corrupt ref/commission and beat a top 3 HW in the World.

Said it before the fight and the fact remains the same. This fight established the real number two in the division. Now Fury v Joshua has to happen to decide who is truly number one!! So neither of the options you have really!! As always only time will tell how good a win this was for Fury as Wilder had a padded record beyond belief, so let's see who else he beats or loses to before concluding just how good a win this was for Fury!

Also @CST80 I'd like to get your opinion if you now consider Fury to be a monster puncher and Wilder has an iron chin or is it the case that Fury still has pillow fists and Wilder truly was always glass jawed!? Put down twice by pillowfists or iron jawed stood up to monster punching Fury!? Which is it!?

I say this a lot, don't slaughter the opponent and call them a bum and then when your fighter wins turn around and claim greatness.

    I wanna see a trilogy.
Kudos to Fury , did the greatest performance of his career.
And the worst performance of Kenny Bayless ! He obviously had a $5 bet on Wilder.

None of the above. Fury absolutely dismantled Wilder; he utterly embarrassed him, and only his corner saved him from life threatening injury. That's different than if it had been close.

Reality seems to be Wilder is down about 6 or 7 in the division. Fury isn't an invincible fighter and hopefully we can see him against the real contenders (AJ and maybe Usyk). Dylian Whyte and Chisora would beat Wilder also.

You're far too emotional about Wilder and Joshua. It's boxing, people loose, it happens, get over it.

Styles make fights. Both fighters attempted to fight differently in the second fight. Wilder attempted to come out faster and jab more.

Fury obviously was more successful. He correctly figured out at the end of the first fight Wilder could not fight moving backwards and had a limited inside game.

Fury adapted and took it to him. That's not an easy thing to do. It doesn't mean Wilder is trash. Fury fought the way he had to to take away Wilders strengths and take advantage of his weaknesses. Full props to Fury.

Maybe Fury established a blueprint on how to beat Wilder but I dont see too many guys having the size and skills to pull that off.

Wilder is a tough SOB. Last nights fight showed that. There is no quit in that guy. That tenacity along with a nuclear right hand still make him a threat to anyone.

Very impressed by Fury bringing in a Kronk gym strategy (his new trainer, Sugar Hill, is Emmanual Stewards nephew) of
effective aggression against an aggressive opponent. He backed Wilder up, used his weight and strength to weaken his
opponent, and used lots of weapons on him. His body shots were shocking....one of the knockdowns was due to a body shot!
Over hand rights, straight rights, jabs, etc. Tremendous performance, and I believe his BEST win. Beating an old, timid Wlad
was not on this same level at all.

And props to Wilder. Took terrible punishment and did not quit..his corner threw in the towel.

Fury will walk through Joshua, I firmly believe that.

Yes Wilder's resume was and is thin but his right hand has been called by experts like Teddy Atlas as one of if not THE most potent
right hand in history. That's a fact. He always made up for his lesser boxing skills by eventually getting his man.

I think it shows Wilder's place in history. I remember getting laughed at for saying Holyfield would have his way with Wilder because he could push him back.

He's able to win big fights for sure but hold a belt for 5 years in the 90s? No ****ing way.

I said for a while the way to beat Wilder might be to get inside and maul him. His power, like Tommy Hearns, comes at the end of his long arms. Inside, those long arms are not his friend.

Yeah. Holyfield would have the right style. He was what though? 215 I think? Holyfield leaning on Wilder would not have the same effect as Fury. So you never know.

I take nothing away from Fury though. He fought the right fight and bullied the bully. As tall as he is, he proved to be more effective inside. He's a talented guy. Most people run from a puncher. Fury did the opposite and took away Wilder's strengths.
