My first thought was the Briggs was too big and too heavy handed. But Hide is the better boxer and has the power to knock Briggs out too. So it's a pickem leaning towards Briggs.

Well he got his belt off dominating and knocking out Bentt who'd previously starched Morrison in a round. IIRC Bentt was in a coma after that loss. He also stopped a past prime Tucker in 2

I think Briggs best win is Liakhovich because the Foreman fight was a gift decision.

Bentt sucked. The version of Morrison that he beat also sucked. Tucker was beyond shot.

Briggs had mixed results at world level and was game against Lewis. Hide is the type of fighter Briggs matches up well against (chinless).

Briggs was green and gassed. I'm not sure if Hide even put together a better career than Wilson if you want to play that game.

That loss was sandwiched between his Foreman and Rudduck win, so I don't think he was past his best, just caught by some good shots while trying to score the early KO. And I'm not saying Bentt was a world beater but it was a good win for him.

Morrison was partying instead of training. I'm pretty sure he banged a stripper in the dressing room before that fight.

Anyway credit to Bentt for doing his job, but all he did was catch Morrsion when Morrison neglected all defense and tried to finish him.

Hide was knocked out by Chingangu & beaten by Kulikauskas, neither of whom were top draw it must be said.

Briggs was better than Hide, not a lot but enough to beat him, early KO likely.

Briggs should win this early. I don't really get the love for Hide on this forum tbh.

    Not even competitive.

Both had serious power, but there is a serious gap in opposition beaten, and we know whose chin is going to crack first.

Lol! LOL@ The Briggs demolishes Hide takes. Shannon ain’t Vitali! :D

I think Hide uses his speed and movement to make it a good scrap for 5-6 rounds and maybe even drops Briggs. But Shannon’s 30-40lbs on Hide and nasty jab will eventually wear Hide down in the later rounds and Shannon will eventually stop him. Around 7 or 8.
