Who’s someone you just never liked and were happy to see on the wrong end of a beating?

I’ll start with Jorge Luis Gonzalez, the 1990s Cuban heavyweight who met his fate against Riddick Bowie.

I didn’t like his attitude, his fighting style. Hell I didn’t even like his hair style. Everything about him screamed arrogant ***** to me.

So I was glad to see him get taken to the woodshed.

    How about you?

Jorge Gonzales was something because he was so cocky, but normally no..

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Oscar De La Hoya kick the crap out of Ricardo Mayorga after all his prefight trash talking. He talked absolute tasteless garbage and crass insults whereas Oscar remained cool and professional but once the bell sounded Oscar punished, humiliated and emasculated him. Fantastic!

Naseem Hamed getting exposed by MAB never gets old and I still watch it with a smirk on my face to this day. Watching Hamed grinning to try and hide his embarrassment and humiliation while getting his big ears boxed off is one of the more satisfying sights I’ve seen in boxing. Hamed was about half as good as he thought he was (which means he was still a very good fighter) but he was meeting an elite fighter for the first time here and it showed.

Watching Tyson get roughed up, beaten up and stopped by Evander Holyfield was one of my favourite memories ever. The cynical nature of the matchup (team Tyson thinking Evander was totally washed up), the arrogance and trash talk of Tyson and his team of muppets prefight, and the shock of the upset happening was fantastic. The added salt of Tyson’s fanboys/cry babies bitching about it to this day just makes it an even more tasty treat.

Yeah I admit I have a nasty streak.

Camacho drubbing ray leonard for making a stupid arrogant comeback.
De la Hoya knocking out Vargas
Wilder getting totally dismantled last night not because he is such a bad person, but because so many people became blind to the hype and thought this guy was some sort of great American champ. I always knew he was an overhyped media creation. Can’t fight and got taken to the woodshed by a guy who everyone said had pillow fists lol.

Kostya Tszyu absolutely dominating (old) Chavez was great the way Julio kept trying to fight dirty and fake being tripped showed his petty bully mentality on full display, no absolute disrespect to the legendary warrior it's just a justified beating to me dealt out by a fitting character a cold detached professional.

On the flip side seeing Lewis brutalize Tyson was tear jerking I remember uttering the words
"Stay down" to myself as the confused mentally lost, mislead man-child tried standing up tears on display for a sport he hated on legs that had abandoned him the fallen champion trying to deliver his last great hurrah for his fans, you can almost see him debating his philosophy of life in the fight, he fades in an out of serenity in the beating to the warrior side of him sewed into his being his fire being put out as soon as it roars within he was fighting for the idea Cus had threaded into him from his earliest years that he would fight Lennox for the title.

Supposedly the concussion Tyson received had left him in a dark room for two weeks... Tyson had heart how do we doubt it?

Honestly watching Ruiz look hopeless against Joshua in their second fight was satisfying. Was pretty let down that he showed up the way he did, so enjoyed watching that (even though it was NOT a whooping)

I like it when the fighter I favor wins, but really I don't like to see anyone take a beating. When the end becomes inevitable, the fight should be stopped. I saw the third Paret-Griffith fight live on TV when I was 12. It left an impression, but not enough, I guess, to stop watching fights altogether!

    Agreed.
I really liked seeing Vernon Paris get bested by Judah. His calling Zab's daughter a groupie bugged me, a lot. In hindsight, maybe I was being a little too harsh.

Seeing Rios and Margarito getting busted up by pac was awesome too. I enjoyed that. Especially after they mocked Freddie. I think it was between round 3 and 4 when margarito had that arrogant look on his face and said pac couldn't hurt him. The next round his face looked like it had been shoved in a blender.

    Hamed getting schooled by Barrera.
Although I’m a Brit and want our fighters to do well, I’m a boxing fan first and foremost and I don’t hate on fighters but I couldn’t stand the prince.
The way he sometimes humiliated opponents he was clearly outclassing I found tasteless, plus his bull**** trash talk.
I never particularly rated his style or skills either. The only thing extraordinary about him was his amazing power. I just saw him as a fighter of many bad habits who when he faced a real elite fighter was badly exposed.
