We all know Wilder has a devastating right hand, imagine if he had a good piston like jab to set it up with and to keep opponents at bay.
He has the height, reach and athleticism/speed to implement this, just needs the right teacher, Larry Holmes would be perfect.

Larry Holmes would be very good teacher for Wilder and I'm sure Deontay will respect him more than he respects Breland, but... It's at least 10 years too late. No one can improve Wilder's skills dramatically at this age

Why would you hire a trainer that you don’t respect? I heard Breland was a good fighter in his time.

Someone with his height and speed should be dominating entire fights, not just waiting to land a big right hand. He's had awful training his entire career. Someone like Holmes and Lewis would constantly tell him to throw that jab.

Maybe they're too expensive to hire though or perhaps Wilder just ignores whatever advice is given to him.
His corner was shockingly quiet on Saturday though.

Larry would certainly be a welcome addition to the bomb squad, he can teach Deontay to have a real fight in the car park!

Surely Lennox Lewis would be the better choice? He’s still able to show them the moves unlike the almost 70 year old Holmes and secretly I think he still misses the spotlight and being the trainer of someone like Wilder would put him back there.

Mark Breland was not just a good fighter he was a 2 times Welterweight champion of the world and arguably the greatest amateur boxer in the history of the sport certainly the best US amateur. I suspect Wilder listens more to his friend Jay Deas and whilst Breland gives the correct instructions Wilder and Deas don’t listen. Post fight Deas was questioning whether the fight should have been stoped by Breland. Anyone with Wilders best interest should have know it was right to rescue him so as not to further damage him.

Larry Holmes was nothing to **** with. He'll fight you where you stand plus he was the first to introduce street MMA to the mainstream when he landed a flying karate kick over that car on Berbick.

Well, after further review maybe Holmes should work with Fury in the WWE.

Working on the jab against Fury won’t always work when he doesn’t have the reach advantage.

Lennox is also a good choice, I just think Holmes had the best jab and that's what Wilder needs plus Lennox was also someone who could bully others with his physicality, something that Wilder is too skinny to do.

The reach difference isn't that much and Wilder's punches are fast. It's better than throwing telegraphed hayemakers. At the least it would stop Fury rushing in as much as he did on Saturday.

Never gets old! Larry knew how to make an entrance alright.

As for the earlier point. There was a menacing air around Larry, some boxers look like they're going to work when they fight, he looked like he meant to hurt people. Not a man you'd want to be on the wrong side of.

Wlad a big Gold Medalist with long experience & authoritative jab, looked like an amateur vs the feather-fisted version of Tyson Fury.

The only way Deontay Wilder can win vs Tyson Fury is to work on a high-stamina KO plan, coming in light & ready for a very high pace fight. Walking through fire to defeat the GOAT H2H Heavyweight Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder got the power to flatten Tyson Fury all it will take is one clean punch to initiate the damage at the early rounds, must drop Fury a couple of times or cause bodily harm to stop the fight.

Sugar Hill understands Wilder will do better in the Rubber Match, so he will retire if the Rubber match happens & stay with Fury if he takes any other fight...He wants to blame the loss on Fury new trainer & retires from Pro-Boxing as the genius who taught Fury how to beat Wilder.

Wilder is a dud. He should retire. "Devastating right hand" walked though by Tyson Fury en route to being knocked all over the ring, on his ass 6 times in 6 rounds before quitting.

    He was a hype job.

Wilder needs to work on the inside and throw body shots and uppercuts. He should work with Mike Tyson.
