If wilder wants to seriously rebuild I would say go after a top 10 opponent, try to make improvements to his game

let fury fight whyte while Joshua fights pulev

    Then aj vs fury (hopefully)

And if wilder has beaten a top ten contender and has his confidence back then go for the winner

?? He was soundly beaten on every level from Round 1 despite the help of the Ref
This was the first occasion anyone with decent boxing ability has been in with him and he was found very sadly lacking in fundamental boxing skills
He has been protected and manoeuvred for a long time to keep the WBC belt stateside and keep milking the cash cow
They cherry picked Fury, badly miscalculated and got locked into a rematch
It cannot be denied he has power but he cannot throw when on the back foot and being pressured. H e does not have the footwork to create the range he needs unless faced with a plodding static style
He has also been shown to have questionable stamina. He does have heart but does not have a boxing brain and skill set to go with it
Put him in with any decent pressure fighter and will very likely lose - Ruiz, Whyte, Miller; they would pummel him IMHO; unless he can land his right cross
The best thing he could do would be to regroup and try learn some fundamentals
He on no planet can be described as 'the greatest' or the GOAT; it's deluded talk

Imperial Japan did well vs the USA early on, had their way with the Dutch & Brits. The US response was a Deadly Pow-wow that helped Imperial Japan understand that the USA is not Russia-Britain or the Dutch

Deontay Wilder only goal is to do what nobody is able to do...Defeat the H2H GOAT Heavyweight in his prime, nothing less.

That is every Deontay Wilder fight, until he lands the Hardest Punch in human history. The only thing that will change is that Deontay will throw more, land more & Tyson Fury will be suffer more bodily harm than he did in his NDE in Round 12.

Can wilder punch hard when a guy is up close and battering him? he looked weak as a kitten

he even landed right hands clean on the button on fury the first two rounds and they had zero effect

I believe fury has his number full stop, even Dillian Whyte with his style, power and weight would stop wilder. The blueprint is out

    No its not
He was battered from round 1
He had nothing left and even if he had managed to land his 'sting' and 'pop' had gone from Round 3
Also nobody can say he has the hardest punch in history
    He has a hard punch
But then so do I if you stand there like a muppet with no defensive skills

Deontay Wilder has no $ needs, already ATG-bound, his focus on being the GOAT heavyweight, Tyson Fury is already signed up for 3rd fight. 50 yrs old Deontay Wilder will still be able to KO 99% Heavyweights, so priority is to KO the GOAT H2H Heavyweight Tyson Fury.

Watch the 3rd fight August 2020, it will be a do-or-die fight for the GOAT Heavyweight championship.

After defeating Tyson Fury, another title defense KO streak, including AJ & Whyte

He didn't take that much of a beating to effect his health long term. Tyson took worse and more prolonged beatings from Douglas, Holyfield and Lewis.
This was not Golota vs Bowe.

Holyfield looked worse in Bowe III at the end, Corrie Sanders took a far worse beating against Vitali. Both were relatively ok afterwards.
