    Pirog by a considerable margin.

Pirog and it's not particularly close. I'm hesitant to even say Canelo does anything better, technically.

Canelo’s defensive skills are sublime nowadays.

LOL Pirog was a hidden gem and Canelo is the biggest draw on the planet so their visibility and fame are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Few people besides hardcores have ever heard the name Pirog and anybody with any peripheral following of boxing knows who Canelo is. All his low information fans would laugh at this question. But the joke would be on them. Pirog was definitely a better fighter than Canelo.

Disclaimer, I can't stand Canelo. My least favorite fighter of all time. I long await the day he finally gathers his nuts (really Oscar does because he calls the shots) and fights a top fighter in their prime without some sort of a scheme to gain an unfair advantage. And that guy beats him both technically and physically to the point that he never lives down such an ass whooping. It will be glorious.

And so, after all the commotion this weekend, the insecure beta gggirls are back with their "Daily Anti-Canelo Support threads".

    Hahahahaha

Pirog and by a country mile

Also Pirog considers defence an art, whereas, conversely, Clenelo's motivation to avoid punches stems purely from fear and cowardice

And don't forget that Pirog signed to fight a prime GGG, whereas Clenelo signed not to fight that version of GGG and he bolted back into the darkest corner of the chicken coop whenever he caught scent of him on the prowl and cowered there in fear in a puddle of his own pee until it was safe to pop his head out.

I always favoured the former in that one but it would've been a mouthwatering match up and Russian Slickness ain't no joke. The Grandmaster could pull it off if was able to get into his groove.

There isn't a boxing ring on the planet built to handle that much slickness

It'd be Billy Dee Williams rollerskating down a waterslide slathered in baby oil whilst listening to Slick Rick level of slickness.
