Takham managed to last against Joshua, Povetkin gave him some minor problems early on despite being 39. Haye would be in with a chance but would be a slight underdog.

This is the key point right there imo, as far as making comparisons between Klitschko and Joshua, and how Joshua would do against Haye. Klitscho had amazing foot-work for a man his size, especially considering his immense power.

I’m not saying Joshua wouldn’t beat David Haye, but I don’t believe he could pitch a shutout like Wladimir did. It would be more competitive, possible with both fighters getting tagged or hurt during the proces.

He got outboxed and Klitchko from 2010 would have smashed AJ and Fury too. Prime Wlad would dominate current HW division.

But.... he wouldn't have. Haye would have AJ doing the Texas Two Step all over the ring, into a faceplant in 5.

Like he did against Klitschko? :):bananaride

Haye got schooled by an ageing Klitschko. AJ ate shots from an aveing klitschko and stopped him.

    AJ >>> Haye

HW Haye beat nobody worth of note or recognition. AJ crushes him harder than Light Heavyweihght Bellew does :boxing1

AJ is accepted by the media as a champion whereas haye wasn't because Haye was a fraud

Calling Haye a fraud is touch harsh. He fought for world title in his 11th fight.
He may have lost but he rebuilt against some solid if unspectacular opposition and then KO'd Mormeck away from home after being down early. Mormeck had previosuley beaten O'neil Bell that year and even after his move to heavy Mormeck was still able to beat some solid fighters.

Haye then took on Enzo and smashed him in 2.

His win's at heavy other than Harrison aren't too bad. Monte Barrert a good test of the waters for his stint at heavy, Valuev ugly and probably Holyfield did a better job on than Haye but Haye got the nod over a guy who only lost twice, Ruiz end of career but Haye looked good for most of the fight and he destoryed Chisora like no man has before or since...

I do think he was well matched and could have had a stiffer run at both cruiser and heavy but there are some good wins in there as well

Okay, I'll concede that he had some good wins

But not really impressive as AJ. I think AJ would comfortably beat Haye

Hayes performance against Klitsxhko was atrocious. Sure Klit was older against AJ, but the klit that fought AJ was hungry and well conditioned. Haye is not good against tall and fast punchers. AJ kos him.

I think the reason AJ has been more embraced is because people know hes legit. Haye was always hyped up and he crumbled against Klitschko. AJ did what Haye couldn't

I don't know why Haye has become legitimized again.
FFS, Joshua is nowhere near as good as the hype machine made him out to be, of course, and I've said that from the beginning ..... BUT David Haye was a basically complete fraud at heavyweight. He has a good win over Chisora, and a decision against the lumbering Valuev (who needed a gift to get past Holyfield's corpse !) . That's it.

    People talk about Joshua's chin.
    Haye's was even worse.

How ****ing stupid are you?? Klitchko that fought Haye was 35 yo almost in his prime , against AJ he was like 41 and shot. In his prime Haye would finish AJ in 5 rounds and Wlad would in 7-8.
