    I read the following online:

'Under the terms of their pre-fight contract, Wilder has 30 days to activate his rematch clause from the night of the bout, and a third fight between the pair must be organised before the end of July, ensuring they will collide three times in the space of 19 months.'

Does it mean that they would have fought 3 times in 19 months?
That's not how I interpreted it, maybe I've got it wrong.

I would have thought that organising a fight before the end of July would mean that only the fight date would be confirmed by then.

It doesn't mean the fight would have to take place by then, does it?

P.S. The swearing rule on this forum is ridiculous.

I dont think so. Think hearn was saying in an interview they may move it back a bit for the new stadium getting built or something like that. Give wilder time to recover etc. Makes it difficult to get a fury v joshua fight signed if they do cause pretty sure dillon whyte has to fight for the wbc before febuary 2021. Say wilder v furys...august or later. And whytes febuary. Probably looking at after that for a joshua v fury fight. Summer time next year at best.

I just heard on talkSPORT that the fight would have to take place by July 18th.

Nobody would begrudge Wilder if he stepped aside so Fury can fight Joshua.

Even if that super fight can't happen he should take an interim fight to build an appetite for the rubber match cos there's no real demand for it right now.

Wilder has to say yes, because if he says no he won’t receive step aside money

    wilder will not be recovered

Must be my mistake...thought i heard hearn say it in his interview the other day
Maybe he was just talking about fury v joshua without knowing the ins and outs of the wilder v fury contract.
