At least Wilder didn't spit out his mouthpiece and quit

It does, but it forgets the end of the 7th or maybe 8th of the first Ortiz fight, where wilder was seriously buzzed and the ref called the doc over to look at the cuts he didn’t have. Neither fighter quit, neither fighter had a clue what was going on because they both got smashed to bits, one avenged his loss and holds 3 belts, the other one is American and has none.

America has no heavyweight champions and zero belts.

We can dispute that tbf, but we can’t dispute he has more heavyweight belts than the whole of America.

He might as well have done. The fear in his eyes was palpable, and he was already by that time in full on survival mode.

Bottom line is he let himself get backed into a corner and wailed on which led to the towel being thrown in whereas Joshua got knocked down, got up, and got waved off by the referee. Neither man technically quit since the words "I quit" or thereabouts never left their mouths, even if their body language said otherwise.

He got his belts back, he took a worse beating off ruiz than wilder did off fury, he didn’t know what was going on same as wilder, neither one of them wanted to be in there respectively, you can say one quit and the other didn’t, you can also say that one admitted he was beat by the better man, the other had a heavy costume.

That's true. And when you consider he was more visibly damaged and wasn't fighting a 6ft tops fat guy, but the bigger man, it makes Joshua's effort seem pretty bad. They're both bad losers but Joshua has more corporate spindoctors shutting him up and/or shaping him, which is why only a few 'lucky punch' comments made it through the propaganda, where as Wilder is on TV talking about his cosplay outfit and firing trainers.
Wilder doesn't seem to be taking the loss too well, though.

Basically it’s going to be a long time until an American has a heavyweight title again, the wbc heavyweight champion Isn’t American and deserves to be champion, the other 3 belts are for arguments sake held by a quitter who spit his gum shield out, but who can bring a belt back to America?

Did he say I quit? Did he shake his head when the referee asked him if he wanted to continue? Did he take a knee and stay down? No, so where exactly did he quit in all this?

True but one has 3 belts and that other has a bad back from wearing a very very heavy costume

Enjoy your day in the sun because in heavyweights one punch can change everything...........AJ bit the dust against a late fat sub who was paid to loose and Fury clearly won but struggled against a Swedish Kebab chef.

Heavyweights get knocked out and Fury will be in the same club too, sooner or later.

On a serious note...i still dont get why people say joshua quit....he got up...tried to fight back...but essentially got beat up till it was stopped. Joshua did at least try to fight back tho. Just wasn,t good enough.

On the otherhand wilder stopped fighting....shelled up then blamed his trainer. Good heart for staying in there....wouldn,t have blamed him if he did quit cause he took a shellacking but after the third/fourth wilder had to come out with everything he had. He was fighting to stay in there.

Never got the advice from mckracken about going back to the jab either....after it became apparent ruiz was going to town with him. At some point you,ve got to tell your man to fight it out. Joshua a round or two after he was knocked down. Wilder a round or two after the third.
