I'm not criticizing. It's an observation.

Couldn't you say the same for Joshua? Where's his credit?

Throwing the towel in is the definition of quitting, what ever you make of Joshua in the first fight he avenged his loss. Wilder threw the towel in and won’t avenge his loss, so the only question that remains is who brings a heavyweight title back to America?

So your observation is that various fanboys and commentators made excuses or speculated as to reasons why he lost other than the obvious one. OK, and so what? How does that relate to Joshua himself?

So why did the referee wave it off then?

    Thats nothing but your opinion.

The facts are AJ got up and answered yes every time the ref asked him if he wanted to continue.

Everything else is just people seeing what they want to see.

What do you think if you see a towel thrown in the ring? What does that say to you?

Or couldn’t because he got battered, he didn’t throw the towel in or say I can’t continue

Yes because he was exhausted and hurt and trying to prop himself up on the ropes to buy himself time. He answered yes when the ref asked him if he wanted to continue, so how does that translate into quitting in your mind?

If he wanted to quit he would have stayed down in the first place. That seems like the much more obvious action.

Theres about a million ways for a fighter thats getting battered around the ring to quit other than what AJ did.

Its beyond obvious AJ was trying to get a breather while waiting for the ref to bring his mouthpiece back.
