Hated him as a fighter, think he's quite good as a commentator. He's definitely a smart dude, does show some bias but overall I think he's good. Pauline is the best. Bradley is terrible.
I like him I actually really enjoyed the insight from his trainer Hunter who has appeared on PBC here and there For commentary I'm usually easily pleased these days and care more about the actual fight Only guy I really dislike is kriegal
Great commentator. Smart dude and obviously knowledgeable in the sport. Him and Sergio Mora are the best for me right now.
Ward is a decent commentator. Ray Leonard IMO is the best fighter turned commentator. I've listen to him make statements...and they come to fruition. Tyson was great as well.
Andre Ward is Cold, at times Callous, but he also is the Highest IQ ATG in boxing history, which checks non-combatant commentators who usually dismiss ex-boxing champions commentating with them as intellectually inferior savages, who can only add the experience factor.
Ray Leonard is a much more likable (diplomatic) commentator, but Ward is more precise...Colder in demeanor, but he is usually right Ray Leonard wants to please the peasants-citizens listening to him by being humble in tune & mannerism, Andre Ward has no value for the audience, he is focused on being correct. This has a side-effect of hurting the "feelings" of the majority of the audience, who want Andre Ward to be less "Better than them", Andre Ward is better for boxing commentating, worse for the audience "feelings"
I'm a fan for life, as is my wife. She overheard his dulcet tones from the kitchen and came running in like an excited schoolgirl. I've been experimenting with changing my inner monologue to sound like Andre Ward, it's difficult at times with the out of context Son of God stuff but overall I'm fairly pleased with the results so far.
