PPV numbers being lower than hoped helps the chances of Joshua vs Fury getting made ahead of the rematch so this is good news really.

I'd be surprised if Fury vs Wilder 3 did even as well as the first fight. The intrigue has gone. Surely it's just not commercially viable. Hopefully they cut deals with Wilder and Pulev and make AJ vs Fury for the summer.

I agree. The mystique was the magic for the rematch. The mystique is gone!

Wilder would be crazy not take step aside money IF he is guaranteed the winner.

The figures clearly aren’t bad - but obviously massively less than what Arum had predicted.

It’s good news really because the fight was extremely conclusive and it gets everyone talking about Joshua Fury. It’s clear Arum himself recognised the Joshua fight as a major money maker, which is why he signed Fury in the first place. Hearn loves a quid as well so it looks in great shape. Fingers crossed.

The PPV numbers are good but how are they going to sell a third fight ?

Rematch clause contracts need to be banned from boxing by all the organizations.

They shouldn't need to pay either Whyte or Pulev step aside money as it's stated in the rules that unification takes precedence over any mandatory challenge. Wilder would probably welcome a pay off and guarantee as he needs time to rebuild. His confidence will be shot to pieces.

Only problem with that is Pulev, as that would mean he would not get a world title shot for until 3 fights down the line or longer.

Unfortunately I believe Fury and Wilder will do a third fight and freeze Joshua out! The balls in Fury's court really, the Joshua fight is there to be made if he really wants it. Other than to keep the belt, which Fury has always said means little to him there really seems no logical reason for me in Fury doing the third fight, it will generate a lot less money and Fury has the opportunity to really prove he's number 1!

See, I’m not enormously in favour of this because it would just take too long and other boxers who would be more intriguing opponents get pushed aside. The eventual fight for the above winners may not take place until mid-2021, and if it’s Fury Wilder III I’d still rather see Fury Usyk or Fury Dubois.

Listening to fury in the ring right after the fight he has been wanting the WBC belt and is proud to have it.

Yeah you can never know what to believe I'm pretty sure he's said on numerous occasions the belts mean little to him and even said to Wilder when he beats him he'll give him the belt back!?

Fury talks shite in most interviews. He has a boxing alter ego. When he talks from the heart you can tell the difference.
