Whyte going above Wilder seems odd to me in the sense that had Fury lost I don't think Whyte would have suddenly gone above him. That aside, Ring magazine hasn't been anything credible for a long time. Can't forget that they had a ****ing MMA fighter on their front cover
Who cares if noone else fights an old never was? That he could land on will at Wilder and couldn't make him pay for it shows how overhyped he was. Achieved little as an amateur and little as a pro. Was prob the worst boogeyman of the past decade.
Whyte shouldn't be ranked ahead of WIlder. Whyte has never won a title and while I'm not a big fan of Wilder, he held the WBC title for a half decade after losing his first match. I'm not too certain that Whyte should be ranked ahead of Ruiz Jr either. My ranking would be: Fury AJ Wilder Ruiz Jr Whyte I think Whyte has done quite well for himself since getting knocked out by AJ but he looked terrible in his last performance, had some shaky performances the last couple years against non elite competition and he's never won a title. I think he's been deserving of a shot for the last year or so but he's still only a contender at this stage.
