Ortiz was a legit challenger IMO, which is why I said in my opening gambit "7 years later". What else?

    Great thread.
I'd also add that every Wilder's fan should be much angrier with Al Haymon, than so called 'haters'. If Wilder's career would be managed more like Joshua's, he'd be much better fighter right now, okay he'd have some losses but still... On the other hand, the hype that they built around Wilder is absurdly huge, considering all the facts. And because of that Fury is now seen to be greater than Klitschko, Lennox, hell, comparable with Ali! This boxing world can be a bit anoying sometimes...

I'm just amazed he lasted 5 years as a champion, in part due to ducking Povetkin in 2015, but mainly his get out of jail right hand that got him through his only other relevant opponent Luis Ortiz. His opposition level was poor as a contender and champion, remember he wanted to defend against Polish fringe man Andrew Wawryzk only for same to catch a ped ban. Dude hasn't fought since btw.

Was Tyson Fury right? Did he prove that Deontay Wilder is merely just a Big Dosser?

Wait ....The guy is flawed with his boxing skills but he has KTFO almost every single opponent so how is he a fraud?:dunno

Not a single person on this forum ever called him a “GREAT BOXER” as we all knew he was basic skills but killer power.
Stop the hate as the man just got schooled in boxing :boxing1from a Gypsy King:wanker

What a load of garbage from a self proclaimed "expert". Joshua's record is hardly worth bragging about. All he has there is Parker, aside from that, you have to be as idiotic as you are to consider beyond past it Klitschko, beyond past it Povetkin and Ruiz anything worth mentioning. Ruiz is a joke opponent and proved that Joshua is an even bigger joke for losing to him. Even in the rematch, where Ruiz shamelessly came in obese, Joshua did nothing but run in stiffed out circles throwing jabs and holding on for dear life.

Joshua sure as hell wasn't going to even try to fight Wilder. That's why Wilder opted for the proven more dangerous opponent, Tyson Fury, TWICE. Joshua, in the meantime, was busy trying to avenge a loss against a teletubby.

Parker, Povektin, and Ruiz are on the same level as Spzilka, Washington, and Duhaupaus?

    Okay.

This is why boxers are so scared of losing their 0. Regardless of Wilders lack of skill and quality opponents, credit to him and Fury for stepping up

Saturday's fight truly did reveal to me that the casual audience has no idea what they're really watching.

A lot of people thought he was as good as talked up to be.
The one punch power is something that cannot be taught or acquired, it is natural.

He has that going for him, and yes, he did not really step up until Fury, who I believe his team thought was damaged goods but a 'name' who beat the likes of Klitschko.

They figured he would KTFO Fury, and he nearly did, but as it turns out Fury had much room for improvement going into the 2nd fight and we still do not know how much better Fury can get. We have seen the best of Wilder though.
