Actually, the people saying he overrated last week are having a ball. The people who were saying he was an ATG are in tears.

We can argue resumes all day. The beauty of boxing is that we will someday find out who is better. That’s what this resume pissing match is all about, right? If you think AJ is a better boxer, I think you will be disappointed if they ever meet because Fury is levels higher as a boxer. AJ is stuff, doesn’t move his legs well and will be one if Fury’s easiest victories. Hope this one takes place in England because it will be massive. Fury seems to get up for big fights and there is none bigger than Fury v AJ. Can’t wait to see it.

People just can't seem to mentally grasp Fury as the #1 Heavyweight in the world.

Parker can pressure Wilder constantly - just like Fury did.

A win over any undefeated champion is resume defining, and tops a fighters best wins.

Wilder was a higher ranked and more highly thought of undefeated champion when Fury beat him. Than Parker was when AJ beat him.

Therefore Wilder is a better win.

I would agree with the principle of the point.

Not sure parker would beat wilder but here's one thing for sure parker would have been a much tougher fight for fury last week.

A tough man who can take a beating and could offer something back.

So yes it's a great point, people calling fury an ATG after he beats wilder is a bit like calling wilder an ATG when he beat ortiz twice.

Wilder was over hyped and is a good scalp but not a great one.

Personally I think most of the top 10 or so guys would beat wilder, wilder was always going to crumble when he fought someone who could put it on him it's just that tyson got that shot first but it could have been one of many guys that did it.

So that said Joshua's, whyte and indeed parkers resume is stronger than furys.

Thats why I've said I don't think you can call fury an ATG until he beats Joshua, whyte and a handfull of other top 10 guys.

Leapai and Dimitrenko are probably on par with Liakhovich and Audley Harrison, Wilder's pre-title run opponents.

Do you really think at Deontay Wilder wouldn't have beaten the guys you mentioned? You are really clutching at straws if you think beating Alex Leapai is worthy of reference.

I think Parker's resume is close to, or equal to, or better than Wilder's.
I also think Parker might well be able to beat Wilder up. I always have thought so.

BUT that doesn't make Joshua's win against Parker better than Fury's against Wilder.
    Watch the fights.
Joshua won a timid decision against an even more timid opponent who was stuck on the backfoot too much and with the referee who wanted no real action. I thought the score cards were too wide in AJ's favour that night. I had Parker losing clearly but he won about 4 rounds and was never really hurt bad at all.

Fury DESTROYED Wilder in 7 rounds.

    Big difference.

I agree that Parker can beat Wilder.

Parker is one of the few who could trouble Fury also. Not many could.

Parker's problem is he has a relatively short reach and he likes to box on the back foot too much. In this age of giants with reaches well in excess of 80 inches, that's not going to be a winning recipe for him if he tries it in big fights. He needs to go forward more.
I don't think he lacks heart, as some have said. I think he gets stuck in the wrong gear sometimes and fights the wrong fight. I suspect he'll always stay with Kevin Barry but maybe he does need another trainer.

If he was to fight Wilder I wouldn't bet a penny on him getting it right, although I think he has the tools to beat Wilder.

Everyone here knows, and has always known, Wilder is worth **** and is pretending Fury beating him is an ATG achievement.
