Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos

Brilliant fight. Locks Briedis as a top 10 CW OAT should he win imo, and he will if I'm right. I like him to out-box Dorticos fairly easily, and take his best too. As much as I like Yunier, it's not a good fight for him. He ain't boxing Briedis, and in a fire fight you favour the fighter with a better chin and that's Mairis. I like him to mix it up, sit on his shots and hurt Dorticos late but take a clear UD.

Can't wait for this fight. Honestly a pickem fight in my opinion that could go either way. Just happy to see the best in the division fight each other.

I toyed with the idea, to the point of voting for that before changing it, so my inclination is yes. But Gassiev threw the kitchen sink at Yunier and took 12 rounds so I doubt Briedis stops Dorticos.

Dorticos is more likely to stop Mairis imo, although Briedis is a comfortable favourite, for mine. Briedis took huge shots from Charr, Durodola, Glowacki and Perez so I'm okay with saying Dorticos isn't too likely to stop him, despite being a harder puncher than any on that list.

Also I've just noticed, I got Briedis' first name wrong in my first post. Disrespectful considering I call myself a fan, lol.

 

Nice to see somebody appreciate his talent, the mans a contained beast and already proven to be the goods

 

The Cruiserweight as a whole is underrated, I've done my part to give it's fair share of props though.
