The only trolls are people who say Canelo's age is why he lost.

90% of people saying Canelo would beat Floyd back in 2013 said so BECAUSE he was 23 and Floyd was 38 and rusty.

Why did Maidana, Castillo and Cotto have more success vs FLoyd than Canelo did? That old boxing axiom "styles make fights" comes into play here.

Canelo tried to outbox a master boxer like FLoyd and failed miserably. IMO he might have more success vs PBF had he used a more aggressive style, like the aforementioned boxers.

Golovkin is one of the biggest myths in boxing history. His myth is so big he has a cult like following with many vulnerable people.

"The most avoided fighter in boxing" FALSE
    "Fights for Legacy first" FALSE
    "Could KO Heavyweights" FALSE
"Will fight anyone between 154-168" FALSE
    "Willing to fight ANYONE" FALSE
"Main objective is unifying MW" FALSE
"Will only take important fights" FALSE
"He cares about fighting the opponents his fans want" FALSE
"Would never give up a belt for refusing mandatory" FALSE
    "Would never fight Welterweight" FALSE

A testimony to the power of media.

A good fast boxer with a decent chin can run rings around ggg and canelo

Mayweather is a more skilled fighter than Canelo or GGG, pretty simple.

Mayweather prefers to make sure he has the speed + reach advantage (Canelo)

Ring IQ will not help vs Mayweather, as it will only make the opponent understand quickly that he can't do many things they usually do vs other opponents

Golovkin is living proof you can make a living in the sport fighting hopeless bums then cashing out with one(or two) big paydays before diving into eternal irrelevance. All of that is thanks to social media hype. Notice how his team were highly active in hyping him up there nonstop. That's what he invested in. Zero investments in achieving actual great victories that he is not expected to win in the ring. Every fight he fought he was a live one-sided favorite. The only time his opponent looked alive with oddsmakers is when he fought a blown up Light Middleweight.

Mayweather is probably on the same skill level as GGG, but Mayweather has the speed & reach advantage over GGG

Natural advantages + G.O.A.T. Matchmaking > Skills (those can be learned)

I don't think Mayweather was 38 when they fought. To your question, styles make fights. G is a seek and destroy type of fighter, alway jabbing, moving forward and being first. This matches up very well with Canelo's style because he is very good counter puncher.
Mayweather's style is speed, timing and breaking an opponents rhythm. He was a master at taking away his opponents strengths. Mayweather reduced Canelo to a plodding fighter looking to land the big shot. Mayweather took his ability to counter away with great defense and speed.

I think his fans feel so betrayed by him, but can't come around to admitting it for fear of feeling stupid.

His die hard fans spend more time discussing Canelo and belittling everything he does than actually talking about Golovkin's career, what he's going to do next and what he's going to accomplish.

It must suck to be a Golovkin die hard.
