that was a weird fight. for a guy with such a legendary chin, he tasted bruno's power early and basically accepted coasting to a points loss.
Corbett!... I overlooked him! Rahman beat Lewis and Sanders and a host of decent B-level fighters. He wasn't a great champ but he was good enough not to belong on this list.
McCall, Leon, Bruno, Seldon... and throw Dokes in there, as he first won the title in extremely dubious fashion, then even more dubiously drew with the same guy (nobody I know thinks he won that second fight with Weaver), then lost it and looked pretty bad against by-that-time third tier Coetzee. Sucked pretty much all the time after that (and was never all that before).
Insulting - I do not like the "Worst Champions" bit. Maybe they were not as great as other champions, but let us keep in mind that they were champions and deserves our respect!!
Jeffries is arguably one of the best. I certainly don't see how a dominant champion can be in the argument!
Well not really. Dominating an era is a fairly select accomplishment, regardless of the strength of the era!
