Spinks was too small to take that shot.

Tbh I think Patterson would've taken that shot better. However out of the fighters the OP listed, I think only the Spinks brothers are dropped and even then I'm not confident.

I don't know if Wilder wouldn't have recovered if the beating hadn't be so systematic by a massively more skilled bigger man.

Are you familiar with sucker punches and why they are likely to KO someone more than a punch they are defending themselves against? When you're not expecting a punch your neck is loose, when your expecting one your neck is tight. Wilder was ducking down and not expecting the punch.

He didn't see the punch coming and it was behind the ear, which is borderline illegal because it is the back of the head and the weakest/thinest part of the head

Mike Tyson said it's not how hard you hit, it's where you hit them and how you time it.

Anyway who could be knocked down by that punch. I mean loads of boxers have been knocked down or out by punches that don't look brutal in themselves:

Joshua - given the Ruiz defeat he's a good example. The punch Ruiz knocked him down with wasn't the most powerful but it caught him on temple with his chin in the air
    Wlad - Brewster/Sanders/Purity
Bowe - v Golota and Holyfield
    Lennox - Rahman/McCall
Moorer - that Foreman KO punch didn't look like it had that much weight on it
Dempsey - got ko'd by a journeyman in a round and knocked out the ring by a bodybuilder
Marciano - never defeated but knocked down and stunned against Moore and Walcott
Liston - Ali 2 although questionable
    Patterson - Ingo/Liston
Corbett - too small and knocked out by a middleweight
Jeffries - like Wilder wasn't a boxer initially and has a weak skillset
Johnson - knocked out by a much worse big man
Ali - sent to lalaland against 180lb Cooper

So any of those could of been knocked down in a similar way

Liston went down from a slight arm punch by a backing up Ali. Maybe it was a dive, but this hurts his standing in discussions about knockdownability.

Wilder was already busted up before that landed, so he was hardly fresh.

I do agree he swells easy.

And the 150 secs of round three that he was still on his feet, add that in also.

Other than that KD (which was 99% not real) he was down only one more time in his career and that was when he was washed up, past 40, and had the flu. Look at the shots he took from Williams (including one that broke his nose) without even flinching.

The problem for people here would be fighting through a lot of preconceived notions about Fury's punching power, Wilder's chin and size, the mythology surrounding old fighters ...

Wilder is 6'5-6, weighed 230 lbs lean for the fight. That's worth about 240-250lbs with Parker or many other HW's bodyfat.
It makes Wilder significantly bigger than Povetkin, for instance, who weights in under 230lbs with boobies. Wilder was not small for this fight and never has been small. He is just muscle and bone, so his poundage is on the lower end these days. But he was bigger than most HW's in history for this fight.

Wilder has never been down in the pros and got cleanly dropped by one shot here. Ortiz couldn't drop him with a handful.

So a big modern HW, hard to drop, was toppled by a single shot. If that was AJ who threw it, most would probably say it drops most HW champs in history.
