Wembley was never an option. Euro football games in June.

It was going to be at either Spurs or Arsenal before Wilder/Fury 2. Wembley are hosting Euros which is probably why they aren't hosting the fight

Yeah, Hearn said AJ wanted London and even though they were hosting games, the only options due to the Euros were Tottenham, Arsenal or possibly Twickenham. It seems Tottenham stumped up the best offer.

Fair enough, I forgot about the euros but I still think it’s just came together perfectly. A sell out crowd of 80/90k against Pulev is an extremely hard sell IMO. Especially after all the nut huggers have switched sides and are now Fury fans.

In terms of entertainment, prior to their last fights, who would have dreamt that Joshua would win a fight cautiously on the backfoot and Fury would be smashing an opponent on the front foot. Been a crazy few months.

Why would Fury confront Joshua? When Fury beat Klitschko to become unified world champion Joshua was fighting Gary Cornish. When Fury confronted Deontay Wilder in 2016 Joshua was not even a world champion he was a British level prospect. Fury wanted that WBC belt and he went out of his way to get it, that is what you do to force the big fights.

I don’t know how you can be that disappointed by it. Joshua’s beaten Povetkin, Whyte, Parker and Ruiz, Fury and Wilder are fighting each other, Usyk is fighting Chisora and Pulev is mandatory anyway.

The joke of this, is it’s another 6 months between fights for AJ. No reason any of these guys aren’t fighting 3 times a year regardless. AJ didn’t need 6 months between Ruiz and a mandatory C level opponent. Could of got him out of the way in late March easily.

Absolutely mate - looks like he is going for another 2-4 puddings then sailing off into the sunset with his PPV loot.

When it comes to the Fury fight, there will be an excuse for not being able to proceed.

It's probably best to just accept top level heavyweights don't fight three times a year and haven't done for ages. Lennox Lewis won his first world title twenty seven years ago in 1993. He fought:

    Twice in 93
    Twice in 94
Three times in 95 (no title fights)
    Once in 96
    Three times in 97
    Twice in 98
    Twice in 99
    Three times in 00
    Twice in 01
    Once in 02
    Once in 03

So what is Joshuas gameplan for this fight? Does he revert to type and look to blast Pulev out of there, which im sure he is capable of. Getting the stoppage at least. Or does he continue where he left off against Ruiz 2 and try and develop his boxing in readiness for a Fury Clash in which he surely will need more than just throw bombs?

Because he has most of the belts
Actually he was about to fight Dillian Whyte
He became a champion that April

Also you act like 2016 was the only time Fury could have gotten in his face. Between 2015 and 2018 when Fury was snorting all the cocaine in Manchester, Joshua was winning and unifying titles. If Fury really wanted the fight with Joshua he could have picked any time to come to one of his fights and get in his face. He didn't.
