The plus size is for most boxing fans the content will be immeidately avaialble. No more 3am fights. Get up at 7am on a sunday morning and watch the whole card start to finish as you please.
With that.... Any fighter in the world can now be offered a gauranteed rights fee in all markets. No need to try and sell international tv right. As DAZN can now buy the lot. Its becoming very appealing to be a DAZN fighter at this stage.
Alot of casuals will sign up because of their support for Hearn. 5 quid a month isnt alot for people who beg for fights to be on PPV
It's not but its an extra £5 to what they already pay. Sky? BT? Netflix? Amazon prime? Spotify? I know times have changed but remember we had Box Nation which failed. I think they could launch with a boxing service but they are going to have to get other content.
Yeah i flagged this in a post ages ago about how all these streaming services are going to work out more expensive than what we currently have. Part of the lure of netflix was how cheap it was and the industry liked it as they got well paid and it helped fight against piracy. With more and more popping up people won't pay for everything and look at alternate options. Greed always ruins things.
Which is why it will never replace TV. As long as you have multiple services offering different exclusive content streaming services will never kill Satellite/Cable TV.
I kind of disagree as what is TV these days? I speak to plenty of people who 'dont watch tv' but what they mean is they dont watch live TV. Streaming sites in combo with smart TVs are good for the industry as its ease of access makes piracy seem more of a hassle. I have a smart TV and i dont even have it tuned in at all. Cable and Sat will definitely die off as everything goes towards streaming.
None of the current outlets will disband, it'll just be an additional service that needs subscribing too.
We already have that in essence though with Sky Q. You dont need to watch anything live with recording and being able to download stuff.
Now TV, whiich is sky has all the content and there is no need to record or worry about space when downloading as its all there ready to play. Honestly i would be very surprised in 20-30 years time if anybody is using regular Sat or cable.
Problem with the "only 5 pound" is that the minute DAZN start getting good content worth paying for they will up it to 20 pound a month like the did in the USA
