David Jaco, far behind on points, was declared the winner when Donovan "Razor" Ruddock failed to answer the bell for the eighth round.
So he was beating Ruddock before his asthma and how Ruddock gained 30 pounds later??Interesting thing!

That dude directed the Tillis thing at me initially.
I told him in two separate posts where I quoted him that they never fought.... The first time he responded with the actual date that Ruddock fought Crusher, stating that was the date of the Tillis fight. I told him no that’s when he fought bonecrusher. He then basically copy and pasted his same post later and then brought up Tillis for a third time so I just figured that’s enough of that.

being a huge fan of heavyweight boxing since the very early 80s I’d love to see this supposed Ruddock- Tillis fight where Ruddock was knocked out.:aaaaa:

so I’m assuming you can read what you wrote right???? “Jaco far behind on points was declared the winner when Ruddock failed to answer the bell for the eighth round”

so why would you then type that he was beating Ruddock before the asthma attack????????

this is a serious question I’m trying to figure out if maybe you’re having trouble reading in English

Of course I don´t know about the 100% truth, but you´re saying a guy who lost 2/3 fights in the 80s beats a fresh Ruddock who beat Dokes, Weaver, Broad and slugged it out two times with Tyson? Well....

    That is called quting!
Ruddock corner did allow him to fight but he refused!
He was all right but refused to fight and made tone of excuses just like his opponent Tyson!

    Ruddock never fought Tillis!!

    Ruddock did fight Bonecrusher!!!

    Those are facts.

regardless of what you think you read on wiki I lived through the man’s entire career I’m very familiar with his fights I have them all on tape.

He beat old Weaver but not young who defeated Jaco in opening rounds!Weaver was young at that time!He beat Jaco and Jaco beat Ruddock! Why did not Ruddock faced younger version of Weaver?
So he was fresh in all fights but washed after two fights with Tyson and somehow did not get heart or asthma attack?

You wrote that Ruddock was able to get off the floor and hold his own with all those guys. Ruddock had heart and guts but as you yourself pointed out he went down a lot. I didn't see anything premature about the morrison stoppage. Lennox dropped him like a sack of potatoes. The evidence shows he wasn't particularly difficult to drop and he left himself wide open. Combine that with an aggressive in your face style and it seems silly to assume he would get the better of foreman.

Morrison beat foreman by showing him angles, later movement, and not being greedy landing shots. I don't think Ruddock ever displayed such a skill set.

Ruddock isn't in the same stratosphere as a prime Holyfield when it comes to ring IQ, defense, latetal movement etc. George trailing on the score cards against him doesn't mean much against a 1 armed slugger like Ruddock.

Sure it might go the distance. Likely? Idk Ruddock was too brave for his own good sometimes.

You also keep forgetting this is foreman of 1991. The stewart fight is irrelevant.

I make foreman a favorite but i don't think it would be a walk in the park. I just think there's a major clash of styles here and I'm not the only one. I'm honestly struggling to figure out why so many people think a 1 arm slugger who leaves himself open and got bounced off the canvas like a dozen times would make for an even or favorable matchup against a granite chin guy with a ramrod jab and powerful body shots (aside from the obvious fact that people are propping Ruddock up due to him making a near prime tyson go life and death for 12 rounds).

First of all that was me addressing no neck claiming Smith beating an unmotivated Witherspoon who out of his own mouth said he had no motivation is equal to Foreman beating a prime undefeated motivated Moore. Me calling out the inconsistency has nothing to do with bias, it's an idiotic claim if we're being brutally honest.

As for me being biased, every fan on the planet has their favorites. Your point? If You can't debunk my argument what does my list of favorite fighters have to do with anything? It's not like i said he'd blast Ruddock out in 2 rounds and I haven't ridiculed anyone's arguments as to why Ruddock might win. In fact I think its a 6:4 matchup.

Btw foreman isn't even in my top 5 for ATG at heavyweight or h2h. Did you know it's possible to like a fighter and not put them on unrealistic pedestals in every thread? I have picked Vitali, Lennox, Fury, Tucker, and several other boxers to beat him.

Though I have George fighting it out with Lewis at #5 ATG, I have to add Bowe, Holmes, and Louis to the guys who could have beat him. Possibly Liston, he was sure afraid of Sonny.

I never said they used little movement. How were they able to connect on George's face? Did I say they stood in the pocket the entire fight? No, but they didn't run away from George like you and everyone else are claiming. They all found out how easy it was to connect on a 45 year old fighter with a solid beard and good power, really nothing more. Like I said before, Foreman did good for himself in his comeback. It's just every time he fought a 2nd tier fighter his credibility took a shellacking.

Does Ruddock do worse than Stewart?

All of the above you mentioned would beat Foreman, sans maybe Lewis. Jimmy Young was slick and had a solid chin so fighters comparable to Young would do well against Foreman. Also, isn't Ron Lyle the only fighter Foreman faced with power close to his own in his prime?

But wasn't Foreman in a superior class to Stewart, Schulz, Grimsley and Savarese too? What about ancient Tony Tucker?

Because Foreman refused to fight a washed up Tucker and got stripped .....................FACT

Question: Is the Ghost of a washed up Tony Tucker a better fighter than prime Ruddock from the Dokes/Smith /Tyson fights ?
