How on earth is Betulio Gonzales (3Xchamp) who fought in a killer flyweight division not in the HOF?

    Fought the following;

    Oguma 4 x’s
    Canto 3 x’s
    Oba
    Borkhorsor
Socrates Batoto (fought Zamora at Bantemweight)
    Espadas
    Alberto Castro (super flyweight challenger)
    Ibarra
Laciar (who should be in the hOF too)
    Juan Herrera
    Salavarria
    Udella
Alberto Morales (beat Espada and Salavarria)

There’s a few guys like that who should be in like Gilberto Roman, Jose Medel, Lionel Rose, Jose Legra, Santos Laciar, Chucho Castillo, Rafael Herrera etc; IMO who absolutely should be in and there’s some guys (who I really like) who shouldn’t. I guess it’s too much about fame than what a hall of fame should really be about.

Because they are ******ed. They don't have Ernest Marcel in there either, and he's one of the best Featherweights of the past 50 years.

Rafael Herrera is another insane omission:

Wins over a prime Ruben Olivares (X2), Chucho Castillo, and Rudolfo Martinez (X2)

Really? I'd have thought Fame, is what a hall of fame is about.

    It is bad, though.

Not to mention wins over Venice Borkorsor, Romeo Anaya, Famoso Gomez and Cesar Deciga. Herrera is so overlooked.

González is probably the GOAT Venezuelan.

Well, yes the title is hall of fame but it really means the best of the best.

I agree, Gonzalez is probably the best Venezuelan boxer and his resume is stacked. Funny enough Masao Ohba (the guy who very narrowly beat Gonzalez) got in the HOF before him.

    Because the HoF is nonsensical.

It's a grand weekend, that end of it looks fun. But inductees, it's a joke. Don't worry about who is in and out of it, it's no different to worrying about the IBF rankings.

Its not who you fought, it's who you beat.

That said, as a 3 time champ, he probably should be in. Beat Canto once for a title.

A lot of people are biased against the lower weight classes and overlook them in general.
