Strengths and weaknesses of Tommy Morrison

Horrible stamina and bad chin. He did have quick hands, was a good combination puncher and of course a great left hook.

Watch his fight with Mercer, he was completely done after 3 rounds it was ridiculous.

 

almost everything said...i loved his power punh combinations. His body movement was pretty good for a 188cm 225 lbs guy. Also decent footwork. He also was prone to get countered. Kinda bad combination with a weak chin.

 

It was boxing's dirty secret that he had AIDS long before he came out and said it. This took away durability and stamina, Morrison was a real hard head who wouldn't listen to his trainers, except for the Foreman fight.

He won some and lost some, but had the ability to upset just about anyone. It's a pity he never had a chance to fight Bowe.

 

His biggest weakness were his inner demons his greatest strength was his marketability.

 

His biggest weakness was his non stop partying, and lack of work ethic.

 

never thought of that, I wonder how much effect the aids had on his fights. Tommy was very good, and against Foreman, he showed he could box very smartly. He had good speed, combos and excellent power. He had a quite good string of victories! I think he deserves more respect than he gets here

 

Strenghts: power,speed,combinations!
Weakness:chin,stamina,defensive skills lacked which made him wide open and combined that with glass jaw is a faliure!Also partying and hookers!
If he developed defensive skills,stamina and wortk ethic he could be top 3 champions of 90s!
He was a good and strong farmboy but when he got money and fame he was changed man!
Shame I never meet him!

Hand speed
Decent foot speed.
Power
Intelligence (despite what someone wrote on here about him having an 85 IQ.) - He showed he could implement a sound game plan against Foremen

Weaknesses:

Porous Defense, mediocre Chin.

 

I think some of his chin weakness was that he never trained seriously, Frankie Randall had a good chin and was fighting on ESPN against Pablo Ramos, He hit Frankie in the second round and knocked him out and everyone said ,What the heck was that? Found out he rode the cocaine and alcohol train for days before this fight.
