So it's unimpressive to KO one as durable as Tiger? Would it be more impressive to KO him at his best of course but the version we saw was still a very durable man.

For me It's akin to if someone had KO'd an older Marvin Hagler just a completely astonishing feat that deserves some respect.

I would say it's less impressive than Jones KO'ing the full sized lightheavy Hill. Tiger was short, old, shopworn and never even sniffed the lightheavy limit. He was a KO waiting to happen in that division.

The winning side of Foster's resume is underwhelming. AND (pure supposition, I know) had he come along ten years later, he would have had plenty of losses. Having Mike Quarry as a top opponent and running that late 70's gauntlet are two drastically different propositions.

You make good points i agree with you on all of them I've looked over Foster again and revoke my statement and will learn more before presenting an argument.

Actually to correct you, lol , that is a Mayweather thing .. Drag a guy up 2 weight classes, actually 3, then don't bother making weight yourself .. Cut the guy a check and fight is still on

You are correct, but to be truthful, I liked it the old way, it was fair and square. But thanks for the correction.

Jones at light heavyweight did not have too much power, yet at 160 he had good power.. Speed which created power, yet at 175 not as much. I think Foster probably stops him. Who knows maybe Jones lands a punch and stops Foster late, but I pick Foster by 6th round knockout.

In other words, there was a single instance in 50 fights where Mayweather, after a long layoff, and an ATG lightweight agreed to a fight just below 147 and Mayweather didn’t make the catch weight but still was under 147.

And the guy he beat coincidentally would ko the pfp 1 at welterweight a little while later.

He was 24 years old, he was a natural cruiserweight who trimmed to light heavy and was in the middle of his career.

If conservative, safety-first Roy shows up, I'd count on Bob.
If determined Roy shows up, it's all Roy.

Fosters best KO's are counter left hooks during an exchange.
Roy wont be in an exchange. He should be in and out alot, utilizing his huge advantage in speed.

I went with Jones by a decision. I think he was a better boxer with more speed and athleticism. I acknowledge however that Foster had the kind of dangerous power that could have forced a knockout though.
