Andy Ruiz Jr vs Deontay Wilder, who wins?

If Ruiz can take a legitimately top punches from Joshua and he was putting on a combo and Ruiz eat this punches for breakfast, Wilder is doomed.
Wilder does not have combination punches, he just have his right hand and windmill like a street brawler.
He may very well hit Ruiz, but he needs a hard combo to finish him, and he does not posses that.
Wilder footwork is terrible, and Ruiz knows what defence is, unlike Wilder, so Ruiz won`t have AJ problem in the second fight, and he will KTFO Wilder around 5-6 round.
I said it this, when Joshua beat Ruiz. You can check my comment, and people were laughing at me.
I don`t see many laugh know.
And again Wilder power is overrated. And more people will start realizing this things. Wilder landed his best shots at Fury in the second fight and they have zero effect, so there is a totally zero chance of Wilder KO Ruiz. ZERO.
But there is also very slim chance that Wilder will ever accept that fight.

That's just it though. He can't afford to cherry pick if he doesn't have a belt. The guy could barely draw a crowd when he had a title, nobody's going to pay to see him fight bums without a title. There's only two options for him (one, really), either fight 'named' fighters or retire. Since he'll probably get owned if he fights 'named' fighters and be forced to retire anyway, I say he retires and quits while he's ahead

 

Deontay doesn't struggle against shorter fighters no matter how durable they are. Fury was just too long and rangy to land a bomb. The blob Ruiz might take the bodybuilders power, but he won't take Wilder 's.

 

It all depends on the ref. Ruiz likes to fight close and Wlider does not.

The look on Wilder's face when he realises he left his big book of excuses back at the hotel.

Then it would be a good fight for Team Wilder to chase post rematch. Ruiz JR has AJ's name on his resume and although outboxed, he wasn't KO'ed in their rematch.

If Wilder loses the trilogy fight but then annihilates Ruiz JR in style, he may go some way to getting the hype train back on the tracks.

 

I am more interested in seeing Wilder v Miller at some stage.

He didn't take AJ's power though. He got knocked down, got back up, realised he was in trouble, went for broke and landed two killer shots.

Logically the fight makes sense but Ruiz hit AJ so hard he didn't know what round it was. Wilder ain't having no part of that

 

I'd watch that and hope the drug cheat get's bingo'd

Wilder has the power to starch anyone

 

Of course, if he continues the smart money is operation cherry pick goes back into operation. After AJ's experience there won't be many seeking Ruiz out unless a mandatory compels them.

Though Fury may fancy the job.

So Wilder takes round after round of punches from a 270lb Fury, gets dropped twice, ropes hold him up another time, still on his feet at the time of stoppage ... but Ruiz just has to take a few shots to get inside and finish Wilder. That's kind of the narrative when it comes to this matchup.

Ruiz doesn't hit harder than Fury, certainly not Fury training for a stoppage. In fact before the AJ fight Ruiz wasn't considered to have much stopping power against top guys. So it's likely he has to take more than a few bombs to do damage inside, he has to take a whole heap of them, and even if he marks up Wilder like the Frenchmen did, he ends up paying the price for fighting at HW with SMW reach and gets stopped.

 

Glass jawed pinhead and geriatric Ortiz were outboxing him. Special Ed teacher Molina had him on ***** street from a left hook lasted almost 9 - Arreola, Jordan and Hrgovic all stopped Molina early.

So no. Wilder has struggled with shorter fighters ones who aren't as good as Ruiz.

 

The French pastry chef definitely made Wilder look terrible that night.

 

I'd pick Wilder to likely win. Andy Ruiz is significantly shorter and Deontay would look to keep him at range. In the first Ruiz-Joshua fight, Andy caught AJ up close initially when they were exchanging so Wilder should be careful of that. Ruiz has a good chin so he might go the distance.
