Yeah, that's not cool. As a man you shouldn't try to hurt another man's ability to provide for his family unless he has tried to do the same to you. If you don't like commentary that's critical then don't listen to it.
Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant would have him on suicide watch on HBO if that's all it takes from the Showtime crew. Old Larry woulda walked in the ring and told him in front of the live audience, TV, streamers, his mother, wife, and daughter that he was a **** fighter and probably would try to set a fight date like he did Floyd.

Wilder's true nature has been obvious from the beginning. It doesn't matter what he does, people will continue to pretend he's 'actually a great/cool/honourable guy underneath it all.' That's the political nature of this era.
He let it all hang out last fight, politically, sportsmanship wise, throwing his trainer under the bus, trying to ban commentators who don't kiss his ass ...
And still individuals who look and think like Gareth Davies pretend he's a hooker with a heart of gold.

That stings a little as I've always been in the 'fundamentally decent but oversteps sometimes when playing a role' camp.

I used to be a fan of Wilder but he has become much harder to like recently. I didn’t realize he was this delusional and insulated / protected. Does he not realize that the majority of people scored the first fight for Fury? Quite a few people had him losing every round except for the two with the knockdowns. So it’s not like Paulie and Steve Farhood has these ridiculous scorecards that no one else agreed with; their scoring was in line with the majority of boxing fans.

 

I guess Wilder doesn't believe in free speech or freedom of the press. That doesn't look good.
