Not really. Fail to see how Washington is any better than Molina or Mansour. Arreola is a glorified journeyman at this stage. Hrgovic needs to step up soon but he has time. As others have said compare him to any of the active top heavies. Hes not exactly being coddled.

exactly, Fury fought Canadian Pajkic who was a former Bosnian Cab Driver bum who dropped Fury and made him Crawl Around on the Canvas!! So even Cab Drivers can sometimes punch back, you must be careful choosing guys to pad your record!!

I was watching a dvd of old Tommy Morrison fights, after Morrison made Pinklon Thomas quit on his stool after the first round the USA Network Commentators told Morrison that he's finally got some "Named" opponents on his record but that they're "Names from the Past!"... Morrison was around 24-0 at the time, 2 fights later they threw him in with Ray Mercer, Morrison had no real experience in the ring other than washed up guys and bums that would fall down when he hit them before the Mercer fight... The Russian "Yuri Vaulin" about KO'd Morrison so I guess they'd figured they'd get a decent payday against Mercer before Morrison got KTFO by a bum like Michael Bentt in which he did later in 1 round!!!

Jerry Forrest is pretty solid beat the fat **** Franklin to ****. Calling Forrest a bum is ridiculous considering Hrgovic looks like a bum at times by himself.

Do you not feel if he did better than Washington with regards to his next opponent?

I dont like calling brave fighters bums, but you make an interesting point about stepping up carefully for the correct learning experience

I thought it would be a USA based opponent. I guess Charles Martin or Gerald Washington didn't want the fight.

I never saw Forrest. His record is 26-3, with 20 KOs. Only stopped once. Best guess he doesn't last four rounds with Hrgovic.

Not a bad opponent for his 11th pro fight. Perhaps team Hrgovic is waiting for Fury vs Joshua to happen and getting on that under card vs a named guy.

bailey, says: I dont think for a fighter with only 11 fights that it is terrible.
He is facing a 26-3-0 fighter 20 KOs.

Im not for or against but about fairness and looking at fight 11 of the top Ring mag HWs it doesnt look a bad match up in comparison to many imo

    Fury - McDermott 25-6-0
    Joshua - Gavern 26-19-4
    Whyte - Mrazek 9-46-6
    Wilder - Nichols 4-2-0
    Ortiz - Pineda 22-9-1
    Ruiz - Bloomfield 9-6-1
    Povetkin - Bostice 37-11-1
    Parker - Williams 36-13-2
Hunter - Williams 15-7-2 (not the same Williams as above)
    Kownacki - Smith 12-9-3
    Rivas - Louis 4-1-0

And when does that happen? Fury vs. Joshua really needs to happen in the next 12 -16 months. By that time Hrgovic would be ready to fight the winner.

Not that bad but he faced Molina last time out and even someone at his level would be a better test. Bakole, Kean, Duhaupas. He has plenty to pick from that have faced better competition.

Jerry Forrest is a southpaw, so maybe Hrgovic's team are giving him a look at another style.
It's not a great fight in itself. Hrgovic has done ok up to now and he's a good prospect for world titles imo, but needs to up the quality a little after a recent run of Corbin, Heredia, Molina and Forrest, next bout after this.

Molina or Mansour were better or even with Bakole and neither Molina or Mansour lasted long with Hrgovic.

While I do agree that Bakloe is better than Forrest its not by a large margin. I agree its a mis-match, but only because Hrgovic is that good. No one at heavyweight is fighting for a world title match in the 11th pro fight. Hrgovic has room for further development. So keeping active is the most important thing for him. He's already ranked high in organizations.

With Wilder and Fury picking very weak title defenses, anyone rated from 15-50 at box rec is thinking please pick me next and us not willing to risk their slim chance the a top prospect like Hrgovic.

Forrest was lined up as Gassievs opponent, before Gassiev pulled out recently.

Nothing special, but it's not like theres a tonne of decent options out there

I agree. The thing most fans don't understand is the business side of boxing. Hrgovic has battered far better than Molina Bakole or Duhaupas in the gym.

The question is how much can his opponent make and does the opponent have a chance a title shot by getting lucky with Fury or Joshua picking him? If the answer is no, then that guy will take what he can get. The guys ranked inside the top 20 are seldom going to roll the dice vs a younger and better prospect unless it's for big money.

I think a fight with Duhaupas would be a really battering ending with the game Duhaupas being stopped. Because he's durable, I'd like to see that one over Forrest.

Duhaupas would make it a fight alright, my favourite option too. I've been hearing he's being lined up for Yoka once Yoka faces and beats Hammer.
