Anyone else really looking forward to Joyce v Debois

Best fight of the year I’d be surprised if it gets past the 10th . I’d call a Juggernaut Joyce win .

 

After recently watching Joyce fight the guy who won the World Amateur Championship last year, yes.

He will apply the blowtorch & Dubois will need to be the real deal not to crumble as the fight wears on.

 

Yeah really looking forward to seeing what happens. I have a feeling Joyce will be too much for Dubois at this stage. But with two big guys who can punch coming forward most of the fight, anything could happen. But I'll go with the experience and more rounded game from Joyce to clinch it in a thrilling fight that doesn't go the distance.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Neither guy is a world beater and don't see either being world champ, however both are solid and they bring it. I just feel if Dubois can't hurt Joyce, he's basically ****ed. Joyce will keep plodding forward and just throwing and hitting whatever he can hit. There's nothing educated about what he does, it's pure lumbering, heavy handed pressure... and lots of it.

 

Really looking forward to this. Joyce is the boxing epitome of 'greater than the sum of his parts'. It's so very easy to see what he's not good at, so-much-so, you can miss what makes him such an awkward customer.

Yes he's slow, but he's relentless and the pressure he exerts is as much mental as it is physical. That's a tough call for a young man like DD; does he have the maturity to deal with this kind of mental and physical challenge?

Ultimately, he is likely to go further than Joyce but he might have to take this step back first, before fulfilling his potential.

 

Yeah I want to see how Dubois does under the pressure and if he has any kind or game on the back foot too. Coming forward he's impressive but you can't do that vs everyone and if he does show us another level on the back foot he might very well be someone to get really excited about because it means he isn't just a one dimensional puncher.

I think Joyce will definitely give us some answers to questions nobody else has been able to ask before.

With Joyce, it's deffo about mental pressure. Always there, always in front of you, always throwing punches, always moving forwards. Dubois is a kid, I'll be impressed if he comes away with the win....

 

Yeah at first glance Joyce doesn't look anything special other than being big and setting a relentless pace. But if you look more in depth at his game, you see he has a good jab, despite the slow hands he's actually pretty nimble on his feet for a 260lbs man and his balance is very good, meaning he's always ready to throw.
