I think Wilder should take a turn up fight before facing Fury the third time. And who would be better than a big Englishman with questionable whiskers?!
Put this fight in the UK and you have a sure sellout.
Price has great power and boxing skills and would be a solid challenge. His chin is not the best but it's not worse than some of Wilder's other opponents. Plus can Wilder land a bomb on a taller man who is sticking the jab?
So who wins this pivotal fight?
Will Wilder be back with a big KO or will Price finally reach his potential and snag a huge victory?

David Price will literally die if he gets hit by Wilder's bomb. And I mean it. He shouldn't think he can backfoot Wilder the way Fury did. He will walk into the bomb. The worst fight Price can take.

Price should go for Joyce maybe or give Tony Yoka a chance to prove himself. Just some lower quality fighter. Price's run for the belts is over.

Depends which one lands first, both have a glass ear!

But can he hit Price before Price hits him?
David is not Fury, he has serious power in both hands. If he lands first Wilder could be staring at a pen light.

This is a reasonable answer. Will Wilder rush him and land first or will Price blind him with the jab before dropping the hammer?

Cmon, this wouldn’t even be a discussion two weeks ago.

    Wilder by brutal decapitation!

Price doesn't have any kind of jab to speak of to set up his shots, can't see him pulling it off, though he does have a punchers chance but it's a remote one. Wilder likely stops him early.

Oh Lord, what a thought. Price actually has the basics to beat Wilder but he'd be a nervous wreck. Wilder daren't risk a warm up and besides, the time window in the rematch clause doesn't allow for it.

I know but maybe it can be postponed. Fury fights AJ. Let's say Fury wins that. Wilder fights Price.
Price fights Wilder in the meantime.
Price punches straight while Wilder throws wild shots. If one of those straight right hand lands first, it could be good night for Wilder.

Wilder never faced someone who punches as hard as Price.
Ortiz doesn't punch as hard as Price.
Wilder is the favorite but it's not a foregone conclusion. Price is a live dog.

If Wilder does stop him, people will think that he's back. But, Price can KO him.

David can't let them go anymore. His nerves are shot. It would be cruel. Only decent fight out there I can see for Pricey would be Nathan Gorman if he decides to come back.

Price does not have "serious power". He has good power which is no where near that of Wilder.

That being said if they fight Wilder might get his body. Price is a walking accident waiting to happen. He should be, like many others in his state, banned from the pro ranks for his own health.
