However, with that being said, if I was in Tyson Fury's shoes, I'd be looking for a couple more big fights/paydays and then getting out of the fight game at the top, rich with my mind intact. All it takes for any fighter is hanging around just a little too long, then loosing health and or legacy.

 

Wlad want the rematch because he thought he could win, he turned aggressive in the 12th and maybe he could get a KO if he started earlier.

What difference does that make? Furys resume isn't any better. Wlad was champ for 10 years. Fury doesn't have a single title defenae

 

I like Fury alot, much more than i ever did wlad but Chisora and Hammer are absolute nobodies and Fury doesn't have a single title defense on his resume. The fact that you are trying to compare his body of work to wlads is so fanboyish it's sad.

Fury's been made to crawl around on the canvas by Bosnian Cab Drivers like Pajkic so he's not invincible but it did seem like he rose from the dead in the 12th round in the first Wilder fight!!

Fury's in the history books already for punching himself in the face in a boxing match!

he is different. Bigger than most and awkward. He knows how to use his size and skills very well and he has a natural ability to adjust. He is very intelligent. And the look he gives is not of an in shape great fighter, but when he is in the ring he can beat anyone. I think he could have given anyone in history of boxing trouble. With this size and skill? Sure.

 

People will use the Wallin fight like they did the Cunningham and McDermett one, to pretend Fury is actually just crap and lucky.

People often forget how young Fury came through. He fought McDermett at 21, a guy who had a controversial loss against Danny Williams and who was a sparring partner for guys like Povetkin.

He fought Wlad at 26 or whatnot.

Look at these characters now who don't fight experienced fighters who aren't 40 before they themselves have been around a decade.

A few things about Fury's 'thin' resume.

If you can beat the top guys, it doesn't really matter how many 'good' opponents you beat, at least it's not as important, particularly when the gap is so drastic between the top and the rest. Who cares how many Takams and Whytes you beat in a row.

Fury's resume only looks thin to people because rated fighters he beat fought on too long and became opponents. So people now think they weren't good competition. You have to consider WHEN he fought these people and you'll discover he fought guys used as 'step up fights' now when they were actually contenders.

For instance, how many losses did Kevin Johnson have when Fury fought him? The Johnson Joshua, then everyone else fought is not the same fighter Fury beat.

Cunningham had only lost to a few top fighters and in close fights.

Chisora was unbeaten when Fury fought him and the second time Chisora was a hell of a lot fresher than now, to the point where Chisora was favoured to win that fight by Warren and others.

Also you have to look at his age and the fact he took a few years off and was messed around for another year with the Haye situation. He actually has a strong resume considering how short his career has been at this point.
