The more 'skilled' fighter doesn't necessarily always win He's not that versatile. Fury has a pattern, which we've seen with Wilder, McDermott and Del Boy. First fight he always come in lighter to outmaneuver and outpoint his opponent. Second fight he always comes in heavier, sits down on his shots more and uses the immense weight to wear down the opponent's legs in a clinch. He can't do both. When he fought Wilder the first time and got caught in the ninth round he couldn't change the pace of the fight, go on the offensive and knock Wilder out. He couldn't even do that in the twelfth round after the knockdown and Wilder was absolutely exhausted and holding on for dear life. He had to change his game plan completely for the second fight to accommodate for that Joshua doesn't need to do that. His best tool, his punching power, remains the same whether he's 237lbs or 254lbs. It's true that he changed his game plan for the Ruiz rematch, but being lighter just made him mobile, more versatile, put more tools in his arsenal than he would have had previously. If Joshua maintains his weight he could change up styles on the fly. A blip that doesn't mean anything Honestly, that's exactly why AJ could/would beat Fury. AJ's coming off a humiliating loss and an unspectacular rematch win and would be looking to prove something by beating an opponent many have called the best. Being undisputed and accomplishing the greatest heights the sport has to offer is something that means a great deal to Joshua. Fury, conversely, will be riding high after his victory over Wilder and may well get complacent. He's got his dad in his ear telling him that Joshua's not on his level and Fury could well believe it. He's got the fans telling him the same thing. He says the belts don't mean anything to him, which is probably just to get in Joshua's head. But again, he could well believe it. He quit after beating Klitschko because, he claims, he felt that beating Klitschko was like climbing Everest. He could do the same, mentally, after beating Wilder Joshua's nothing like Klitschko or Wilder. He's not old, and he's not a paper champion with little boxing ability and a padded record. If Fury underestimates him he's liable to get his head cracked in like he did when they sparred many years ago.
AJ chin not China but obviously not iron either. He can take a shot and did take Wladsand Ruiz without getting rocked. He wont fight the same against Fury as he did Ruiz. Unlike Wilder, AJ can counter. Fury wont fight the same either
Exactly and Beoncey 'Bambi legs' Windy Miller has had plenty of detractors, non believers and people not getting sucked in by the fact that all he has is a right hand, absolutely zero diversity to his game and no plan b. Been saying for years that Wilder is there to be bowled over by a bigger, more confident and educated fighter. The big test now is whether Wilder can bounce back or not. I fancy Fury to do a number on Wilder again without too much trouble and Wilder will probably fade into relative obscurity.
Wilder won't bounce back. He's just too technically lacking at such an old age to make any meaningful adjustments. Add this to the fact that he just keeps making ridiculous excuses for his loss which indicates he doesn't have what it takes to look inside himself and understand where he went wrong.
Would actually be a much better game plan with fury. Let him general the ring and dominate while he's on top form not going to end well ask wilder. Ruiz is an underestimated fighter looks like an easy win but no.. he is fat has no movement but f##k fast hands with weight behind at his range power. Personally if AG takes it to fury can pull it off but big ask. Tyson looked unstoppable last time out but wilder isn't a boxer just made that right hand land
Aj is a better boxer than Wilder and him being aggressive might help but if he trys to box him he's done
Fury is far harder to hit than Lewis, Lennox couldn`t slip punches the way Fury can, his head movement wwas at a very low level.
