Stronger isn’t the issue it’s the skills . Can he bring more skills or out skill Fury in a jabbing contest to set up what he usually does ? Looks like the end of the road for Wilder unless Fury skips half his training and that’s a farce .
See why he gets another shot at retaining his belts but really we all know, been bettered twice second time was totally out classed from R3. After he's held up the HW division for so long be good to see things more forward, don't blame him for wanting one last payday. Can see it selling as well this time round tho. Would like to see him fight the ones he's ducked for year's tho
If/when this trilogy does happen and Fury more than likely wins it... I can envisage Wilder then losing again within his next couple of fights (in an upset) following the third Fury fight... And his career then spiralling to a halt pretty quick. I think what we saw a couple of weeks ago was the beginning of the abrupt end of him
Never understood the support for Wilder because of holding the division hostage and neglected giving us the undisputed fight ? Will Fury follow that path now is the next chapter ?
No chance. The guy jumped basically (aside from a 30% effort couple of spar-like bouts with very lowly opposition) straight in with Deontay Wilder after 3 years out of the ring addicted to drugs and alcohol and depressed to the point of verging on suicide. What makes you think he now has any interest in fighting a string of nobodies? He'll want AJ asap and then he'll call it a wrap.
Kind of says it all that Dillian Whyte has been waiting 3years for a chance at that belt but wilder knew it was risky or probably more his management. Honestly believe he actually believed his own hype. But how can a mandatory challenger be over looked for year's pretty much makes the word mandatory redundant
Bob Arum ring a bell ? How about this one ? Because this has been his view since returning ? This content is protected
LOL! Lead shoes maybe? Your statement reminded me of one of the first UFCs there was a guy who came to ring with a big giant wooden cross. He was a Christian and carried this thing to the cage. It was HUGE! He won! 2nd match, he drug it to the ring. He made it to the final round...and his team carried the cross. For Bible believers it must've been something to see he could no longer carry the burden of the cross. I respect him because at least he didn't blame his loss on a wardrobe malfunction, unlike my boy the Bronze Bomber!
I can’t see Wilder all of a sudden becoming a Muhammad Ali and the only things George will try to teach him will most likely be proper punch technique, use the jab a lot more, and possibly some cross arm defense..... anymore then that for a fight that’s 4 months away to a guy who just suffered his first loss and seems to be delusional about the reasons why he lost is only going to confuse him more and most likely make him resort to what he’s been doing. Physically he’s not strong enough because Fury was manhandling him in the clinches rather easily. I like Deontay and I think he’s making a mistake by jumping back in right away, he should have taken a tune up. But at the same time I can understand that his pride is hurt and he wants a shot at redemption. The only way Fury loses is if Fury goes off the rails again.
Wilder could go in there balls to the wall Hearns Hagler style kill or be killed. If so that’s a dangerous proposition no matter how well Tyson did in the second fight. I would consider that a dumb strategy but the guys not very bright and also an emo flake so you gotta be prepared for it
Maybe Fury saying he’s not fighting Joshua he’s not interested, is this a clue when you’re saying no chance he avoids AJ and jumps right into it ? Lmao
I can’t wait for this fight...cue the “Fury wasn’t ready”, “Fury has mental problems”, “Fury took a dive”, etc etc. Fury had a great night, could do it again, but it’s certainly not a given.
